Actually while I support dynamic minimap icons, I am also not in favor of captcha. A suggestion I made in the past was to have the buyout confirmation box itself a bit more dynamic, ie instead of a rectangle dialog box, it shows the model of the item you are purchasing, framed by an moving flame border with the confirm button placed at a random position.

Yea or they show a picture of an arranged code and you have to enter it like lots of websites use to stop spammers both would work well for ah botting

^ captchas are invasive

The best ideas stop bots while not annoying legitimate users.

And clicking a flaming sword for confirmation is probably more fun than entering captcha.
