Why not raise the auto pause at high ping / loss of connection to the server? At least for a single game. If the connection is lost, the game will automatically pause, it will save a lot of players from blunt deaths due to lag. Auto pause to not put too much, it may be that she posed, such as ping from 3000 and up. When pause shows the player with the current strip-ping. If the ping was normalized, and the player did not continue the game for N minutes, then let himself dying in a crowd of enemies and got kicked from the server.
The idea is not mine. I do not remember, someone has already formulated, but in a separate topic did not seem to take away.
As I'm personally convinced abuse this opportunity will not work, because if you run into a crowd of monsters, pause the game and go to tea, waiting for the kick from the server, then the character will still be lost.If you pause, chop off the Internet, then on again, and enter the game, the character also dies.
As far as I've heard a similar system implemented in SC2 and other games.I urge anyone who does not want to merge because of the stupid lag, to support this theme. Apologies for the broken English.
+1 as I lost my PL33 monk about a week ago due to a d/c and haven't played since. I have a 60 wd I could start playing and a decent amount of gold to gear him but I don't see a point to it if it will just die to a d/c again. SC is crap as there is no consequence to stupidity but a d/c death is a deal breaker for me. Until something along these lines is implemented I am probably done.
one other potential idea (i don't know if it's been put forward or not) is that let your toon attack with whatever your left click mouse button is until the 10sec disconnect is up. At the very least it will give you a chance to survive a disconnect but at the same time won't keep you from dying if you get yourself in over your head and try to cut the connection yourself...
