The BEST new idea to hit diablo3!!

IF YOU LIKE THIS IDEA KEEP BUMPING IT PLEASE.

I was thinking and i stumbled upon the idea of class made gems.
i.e;

    Disciplinary Gem ~ X amount disc rege
    Spirit Gem ~ X amount disc regen
    Arcane Gem ~ X amount regen
    Mana Gem ~ X amount regen
    Fury Gem ~ X amount regen
    Hatred Gem ~ X amount regen


The cool thing about this is the gems can match the color of secondary necessity.
Imagine a monk gem that is all white increases spirit regen
imagine a dark blue one for manna
Hatred with dark red / black

anyways just keep bumping lets see if people like this idea lol

I like this idea. kinda one to push Mana spenders up a pinch higher. :)

Ive been thinking the same thing however almost more basic, we dont have saphire or diamond in game anymore (or skulls). Why dont they make saphires be resource boost, not have to be char specific, diamonds crit chance (small amounts), Skulls LS, regen, or LOH

Discipline gem would be too op unless the ratio is less than .25 regen per gem.

stupid, blizzard would never do this because they spend SO long trying to "perfect" the spirit mana fury regen and spending and generation. it would throw all that down the !@#$ter.

Royal, I like the idea :) Maybe combined with Strank's (Sapphires for resource regen, diamonds for Crit Chance, and Skulls for Life on Hit (I think that is the best of the three vs. life steal and life regeneration).

*I'd like to add a bit more as well--(S)tandard, (F)ine, and (G)rand recipes for rare AMULETS, RINGS, FOLLOWER TOKENS which would give 4 (S), 5 (F), and 6 (G) random mods (level 62 base items created).
It would also be nice if they added some LEGENDARY FOLLOWER TOKENS (which has been suggested before).

*Also, I'd like to see the following changes for CHARACTER-SPECIFIC gear...

1. Barbarian class items NEVER spawn with INT-only, DEX-only, or the INT/DEX stat increase mods...

2. Wizard/Witch Doctor class items NEVER spawn with DEX-only, STR-only, or the STR/DEX stat increase mods.

3. Demon Hunter/Monk class items NEVER spawn with STR-only, INT-only, or the STR/INT stat increase mods.

**So Barbs gear can roll STR-only, STR/(any), VIT-only, and VIT/(any) mods---making it more likely it will boost the necessary stats for the class it was INTENDED for. For INT classes, it would be INT (only/any) and VIT (only/any), while for the DEX classes, it would be DEX (only/any) and VIT (only/any)...this is a more "common sense" approach to making the mods of all class specific items more useful for their intended class(es).

4. Rings/Amulets can NEVER roll STR/DEX, STR/INT, or INT/DEX, but they CAN roll STR-only, DEX-only, INT-only, VIT-only, and VIT/(any) stat boost mods.

***Notes: 1-4 will not guarantee godly items, but they can ensure that the stat mods rolled will be MORE useful to players instead of just being melted down by Haedrig...

What are your thoughts?

I hate to say this but these gems will not happen as they will destroy the game balance. Even if each kind of gem only reg 1 or 5% of some resource then putting them every single socket will give you unlimited resource. Blizz could limit the gem to be only placed on the head then for monk or barb its useless.

Although this is a pretty unique idea I also agree with you. This is a great idea for game diversity, although when it comes down to the lines of balance the scales will be tipped.

k, maybe not the gems, but I'd still like to see the recipes for the amulets, rings, and follower specials added, and the changes for the class specific gear.
