Latin for "Unconquered". I was wounded in the Army and this ended up being my nickname because I refused to yield to my injuries. The word was made famous by a 19th century poem by William Henley that goes like this:
"Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul."
My reflection, dirty mirror
There's no connection to myself
I'm your lover. i'm your ZERØ
I'm the face in your dreams of glass
So save your prayers for when we're really gonna need 'em
Throw out your cares and fly
Wanna go for a ride?

Mine is relatively simple, once you see all of my characters. Each of them has the Tia prefix, and thus, they are collectively "The Tias".

A long time ago, on FFXI, we used to always joke in our linkshell that someone would say something and someone would come back with "ur a _____." When I started playing WoW, I didn't want to reuse the same name I had in FFXI, so after thinking about a minute, I came up with Yura. Jokes ensued in WoW as well. "Yura _____."
There was an old (early 90's I think) Saturday morning cartoon called Dragon Warrior, surely based on the NES classic that I was fond of. There was an evil sorcerer named Moore in it that was the chief henchman of the Dragon Lord. I decided to change up the spelling and use it for a MUD I used to play called Astaria. I played a Mage in that game for the majority of my 7 years there. Always been drawn to the casting classes of any big video game.
mine is from Final Fantasy 7. For those who never played FF7 Makoenergy was the all giving life force of the planet and was also the source of the spheres called materia needed to cast magic spells. kinda a fitting name considering i play a witch doctor.
