Looking at my barb with % melee reduction, he has 4% from boots, 6% helm, and 4% IK set 3, but on the defense details melee reduction is 13.37%. If they were added up it would be 14% reduction, but if individually multiplied (1.04 x 1.06 x 1.04 = 1.1464) it would give a higher number, yet the sheet gives a lower value.
This leads me to believe that there is something else behind the % multipliers which may make it less powerful than it looks
The same for my wiz when running archon mode who has these damage multipliers using a black weapon:
8% poison from boots
8% lightning from helm
6% holy from ring
5% fire amulet
5% fire source
6% lightning source
6% arcane source
= +44% total damage?
= 1.08 x 1.08 x 1.06 x 1.05 x 1.05 x 1.06 x 1.06 = 53.15%?
= something weird like adding similar elements then multiplying: 1.08 poison x 1.14 lit x 1.06 holy x 1.10 fire x 1.06 arcane?
= OR something totally different? None of these multipliers show up on the damage sheet but in archon mode I'm getting white ticks (non crit) which range from 200-400k while having a sheet dps of 121k using the archon beam which is 300% of normal damage.
further complicated with +% damage from:
29% elites ring
4% elites helm
= 33% damage to elites?
=1.29 x 1.04 = 34.16% to elites? something less like how melee reduction was determined?!
