What's a black weapon?

What's a black weapon?
Is that a weapon with no elemental damage on it?
Should a elemental based weapon be better with a triumvate? I seem to get told otherwise.

a triumvirate will add % bonus damage to any non-elemental damage on your weapon. black weapon counts as physical damage so thats what will get the bonus. on a fire wand for example, only a small amount of the total damage is physical damage so you will see small gains vs. large ones with a black wand.

Look at the bottum section with "other useful information" and "how elemental damage works".

Use this compendium for a lot of your questions.

ps: this is a sticky, its always at the top of our forum here.
