Thanks and to zuggles.
I hate being the "guy" who makes the decision as to what gets added. I'm a nobody. I mentioned my methodology somewhere in a previous post.
Will review and add :)
Basically it has to be a thoughtful and useful, post with a mostly clean, respectful and insightful follow up posts.
Fair enough! I will say though, that in reviewing the actual build guides that made the cut everything is pretty much a very popular power build. Obviously most people use these, and by nature of that you will get the most insightful responses! But, by not highlighting any less orthodox "fun" builds folks may miss the opportunity to try them, just for fun. For example I would say that Nameless' thread somewhere about using Maximus and +% fire skills is an interesting read for new players, as is the LTK guide which is mostly a great lesson on how to stack spirit regen and -spirit cost to eliminate a generator alltogether, which is just an interesting concept.
In the WD Sticky (just as an example) SkywalkerFX used to keep an "unusual builds" section, usually featuring building around a unique skill or item that is unconventional- i.e. Thorns and pets.
Of course, as I say that I just looked back in his guide and it looks like he has broken these builds down far more extensively in to categories and there is only 1 under "Unusual" now. Perhaps with the patch updates things have changed.
In any case, your methodology is sound for concentrating on the most popular and powerful information for new Monks. And that is the most important role of this sticky. I just like the "fun" stuff too personally, which is where my $.02 comes from. I'll butt out now and let you carry on with the good work.
Catch u in game soon!
