PRT is two tomes and 1 essence for a piece of the Archon armor. That might just be so people can try it. FYI, the Archon gear is nothing more than dropped Archon armor/bracers/legs etc.

Not worth to craft any Archon gears

It is so cheap to craft them lmfaoo 25k? and essences and tomes that u can pick up? How you gunna say its not worth it. i can see chest peice not being worth it cuz everyone uses set peices. But gloves and bracers? The chance of rolling a good pair yes slim i guess, but ive rolled some pretty decent gloves already and for next to nothing.

If you have the essences and tomes, which u pick up? or salvage lol. You can easily test ur luck rolling some gloves. Anyone play the lottery? How many times have you one the jackpot??? Gotta get lucky period you cant expect god rolls everytime people are just ignorant, greedy, and stubborn.

Out of 35 amulets I crafted on the PTR, one was actually DPS upgrade for me - very slight one, but it also had +66 AR which probably puts it in 100M+ price range on live (if I wanted to get it from AH). I would use it on live server.
The rest of the amulets were not so good for for high end players, but they generally tended to have stats rolled on the high end of spectrum (AR, +%Life etc). At least 5 of these could be considered nice upgrades by players who are not looking for a trifecta yet :) They did beat amulets I used to use in the past.
I initially thought that the new crafted items are going to be complete crap, but initial experience is mildly positive. I still reserve my final judgement till I craft a hundred or so, because sample size of 35 is rather low.

Honestly im a lvl60 paragon 13 wiz and the body piece i crafted actually gave me 3.5k more HP and about 600 more dps then the Tyreals Body that i was wearing. i lost some movement speed and the "Damage to demons" but honestly.. 3.5k hp means i can take a small amount of punishment more then i could have.. and in inferno.. it helps XD

My exp. with crafting, even the new demonic essence, hasn't proved to be worth the time or the gold it requires. maybe to low level paragons. but the account bound issue makes them suck. Cost too much and you can't sale it to sombody who might like/need it.
