just curious what kind of SNS multiplers you guys get. I'm up to 8.6x when pings are good like 24ms.

You can have a different skill for teleport, but you should not use it in the test. For now unless people request it, measurements with outlier stats from the norm, such as very low/high CC (<40cc or >60cc) or IAS (<2.73aps or >3.33aps) will not be added. Also, to ensure that the test is as consistent as possible, please try to minimize adding additional variance to your measurement, such as letting Ghom move around or running out of AP (you shouldn't be running a deficit at full windup). Though please feel free to contribute even if you don't meet these requirements. It's just already so hard to quantify with so many variables to address. If I have accidentally added someone to the list that doesn't follow these guidelines, please let me know and I'll remove them.

Just killed him, on mp8, 70k hp. too me 88 seconds.. with ping 300
174k sheet dps. rather low ? edit: did another on mp5, 25mill hp took me 29 seconds used nova with 15% dmg this time, im shocked that im not doing 1mill per second.. o.O 2nd edit: with glass cannon on doing exactly 1mill dmg per second.

last time i tested i was having around x8.1 with 50-60 ms latency and like 30 less cd than now.
I hsould give it a shot again. |

Just killed him, on mp8, 70k hp. too me 88 seconds.. with ping 300 yeah thats low. i'm over 1.3m with SNS http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/wizard#VQXYhT!bgW!YZcccc SNS is ^ or with deep freeze while farming. Ping is bad. Whats ur cd? I believe ping is main culprit to wild differences in SNS multis but need more data.

MP7 Ghom (50446580 life) - Standard SNS with Teleport
1min,24s with 99,529k dps (194%CD, 2.81aps/53cc/17APoC) - 6.03x 1min,17s with 102,661k dps (194%CD, 2.76aps/55cc/17APoC) - 6.38x 1min,40s with 77,024k dps (94%CD, 3.04aps/53cc/17APoC) - 6.55x 1min,41s with 75,237k dps (94%CD, 2.84aps/55cc/26APoC) - 6.63x Latency: 129ms and No Specialized Mouse or Macro EDIT: For the first test I did miss some casts when Ghom would move around (and I'd have to go through the windup again), which is probably why it's a bit lower.

Man if with 129ms u have a 6.6 multiplier, from Aimless 8.6 I wont even test my ~220ms so I can continue being happy in ignorance..

Yeah, that's why I did the extra test with more APoC, in case that was my problem. I don't have a very good sense why my damage multiplier is much lower. :(

my bet is ur not putting enough twisters on top and around ghom, fill every gap tightly so ur procing the most. |

So if I understand it so far, we roughly have the following datapoints (assuming standards SNS):
24ms - 8x 129ms - 6-6.6x 300ms - 4.95x (using the Mp5 Bone Chill timepoint) ? |

remember when i tested it, jumped a whole 1.5X with just better twister layout.

Ping is a big deal when playing SNS. I hate my 300 ms ping!!!

Now you know why i dont care about CC and happy @ ~50%. Did you see gohm move? I think not. When I proc two uber they dont move with my low cc. One benefit of many to living in sunny OC california.:P

@Aimless: Yup, so far. I definitely didn't have Ghom locked down nearly as well as you did in your video, regardless of my chosen setup. But I'm gonna try ximae's suggestion and see if that can help improve my modifier.

aim i have the same cc as you and i dont feel pushing it further up either, over 55% buffed is more than enough.

Btw I still totally have no idea how CD increases multiplier, it just does not make sense to me. ChC and APS increasing the multiplier makes much more sense.
Anyone kind enough to explain the correlation between ChD and eDPS to me? Not by data but by some simple theorycrafting. |
