Deleted Threads?

Last night I, and a large group of others based on the threads that popped up and promulgated themselves, had difficulty with the authentication servers, meaning we couldn't log in. Classic Error 73, or Error 37.

This morning the thread I was reading when I went to sleep was deleted. Completely gone. Now it was a long thread, which is why I gave up reading it and went to sleep, so there could certainly have been a post, or several in there worthy of deletion I never saw. But why was the whole thread deleted? It was in "General", so it wasn't because it was in the wrong place. The OP was noting the error and requesting information and to know if anyone else was having a problem.

The Error 37/73 issue is a legitimate one to be discussed, I think, for a game that requires internet connection to play. If that discussion was in the wrong place, fine, but as I said, it didn't seem so. I saw nothing in the thread that was against the forum terms and service, and now I'm worried about future posts discussing important matters being deleted. What can we do to ensure that valid posts about important topics stay within the rules and don't get deleted?

something that happened to me in the past (dunno if this is what occurred) is that when i got a temp forum ban ALL my previous posts were deleted. this meant that the helpful things ive told ppl, the guides, the suggestions and feedback all of it was erased from the forum.

summarizing that down, if you are the thread OP and get a temp ban your entire thread whether its 1post or 400 posts is deleted.
