Patch 1.0.7 Preview Now Up!

The current design is that these gems can be combined at the Jeweler for a substantial reagent and gold cost (3 Radiant Star gems, 20 million gold, and 1 Demonic Essence)


You don't think 20 million per gem is a bit much? On one hand, that's a helluva gold sink (and we sure need them) but at the same time it's going to be out of a lot of players price range. I hope the gem is a substantial upgrade for that cost.

We're removing the incrementing resurrection timer on consecutives deaths. With the removal of enrage timers in the previous patch and the emphasis on players selecting their level of challenge via the Monster Power system, long resurrection timers no longer serve a useful purpose. It will now be a flat 5 seconds in Softcore.

I was wondering that too but I think I heard about that they are going to allow NV be carried from act to act. Hopefully, they are really going to do that.

I might be wrong, but I think they were going to let you carry NV stacks over from Act to Act.

How are we actually supposed to get 5 stacks before killing rak? I had enough issues trying to get 5 stacks before going into the silver spire when going for the key warden. 5 stack rak is impossible with the lack of content before going in to fight him.

If you look 1 post above yours, you will see i mentioned a comment Lylirra made on the actual preview post that NV stacks will persist across acts so you can go from Act - Act and keep your NV. This is only a preview and not the actual patch notes so not all the upcoming changes are listed.

Why the 5 second death timer? That INCREASES it from the level it is now. I admit sometimes when farming in MF gear I die = 3 sec timer. I don't have chain deaths continuously, from which this change would only be a benefit when I die 4 times or more. Dying once makes this change a 66% increase in the death penalty.

When it was announced that the death timer would be removed I had taken it to be a timer of ZERO upon death so I can immediately get back at it. Not that the increasing timer count after significant deaths is removed...

DONT DO THIS!!


they always announced the removal of the death penalty! now, if you die, you have a 5 second death timer, that won't increase after dying.


Do you know how to read? The issue is that when you die now its 3 sec but after the patch its 5 so it goes up. I dont care about it not going up. I care about 1 death where youre penalized more.

(For those who don't want to click-through, the base time hasn't been increased. The "5 seconds" Wyatt noted includes 2 seconds for the "You have been killed!" window to appear + the 3-second wait to resurrect. This is how the timer works currently.)

Yay! Thanks for the update!

Any word on the details regarding the PVP damage system? Is it strictly going to use the same numbers against monsters? If so, won't that lead to extremely short 1-hit-KO matches?

Thanks a lot! I admit I grew a little impatient while waiting for these news the last few days ;) and I guess that's going to get even worse now while waiting for the PTR and then 1.0.7 finally going live :D

Sounds all good, can't even pick my favorite. Though it's probably going to be the monk buff^^ bringing back public games and crafting will open up trails through Sanctuary again that I really started to miss. Keep it up! Looking forward to some more delightful hours with this game :)

The Archon Armor recipe (the chest piece) can be purchased from Squirt the Peddler for 1.5 million gold. The other plans will drop randomly in the world, but also have a 50% chance to drop off the following bosses when you have five stacks of Nephalem Valor:
Skeleton King
Spider Queen
Maghda
Zoltun Kulle
Ghom
Cydaea
Rakanoth
Izual
 

Do the Ubers count as "Bosses" in this respect? Will they be able to drop plans at the 50% rate as well?

so now barb will become even stronger with ias in rubys only is lame what about putting ias in all the gems so that way all the classes can benefit from the ias no matter what class you are playing ?
