TL:DR : From the day 1 i run the game with no Swap File on my HD and i always have lag and stuttering, i reset the swap file and no more lag or stuterring.
Hi, first sorry for my english, i'm a native french.
I play D3 since day 1, the game have positive and negative things : Graphic are very nice, Gameplay is not what i expected, and lag are so frustrating.
But i dont wanna start a random debate on this.
The big problem i was very angry about, its the Stuttering, Lag Spike.
My Config :
I7-960 @ 3.6Ghz
Asus P6X58D Premium
Kingston Hyper-X (3X2Go) 1600Mhz C9 @ 1700Mhz
2X Asus HD 6870 1Go 915/2100 - (I got my second card a week ago)
Antec 850W Truepower Quattro
Crucial M4 128 Go - (Installed yesterday; OS was on the RAID before)
Raid 0 2X WD 500Go Black
So since day 1, I got a lot of peak lag, mini freeze, stuttering like all the screen is shaking; wasnt able to read any item on the ground while running.
My friend run the game just fine with a lower rig than me.
I start searching for a solution... -_-
Drop all the graphic setting,
set hardwareclass to 1
disabletrilenarsh*t to 1
this help a little but really not enough.
So.. i was thinking, the problem is maybe caused by the extra latency my Raid0 makes.
I installed a SSD Crucial m4 128Go yesterday.
I also install windows 7, all updates, drivers, and optimize it ; remove indexing, remove swap file etc...
Optimize my SSD with a guide on a site.
Run Diablo 3
-_- Same problem...Stuttering and Lag.
So i read the comments at the bottom of the page.
They said that remove swap file can make a game work badly.
I tried to reset the swap file and Tadam -> the game work a lot better! No more freeze lag, no more stuttering.
A new game Lol.
