Good god... thats crazy.

Man I've got to get my hands on some rubies to test.
I thought it's only 150-150 with some weapons getting closer to 150-300, apparently it's 150-300 with things like manti getting close to 150-450. |

If anyone has an extra plan on PTR, i can test it out on a bow with elemental dmg and provide my findings
I don't think anyone will be giving the plans away. They are hard to find for sale and are very expensive. My apologies, didn't mean to sound like a mooch. I haven't been on PTR, so i wasn't aware of the mechanics. (I just thought everything was artificial as it doesn't have an effect on the real game)

Time to start stockpiling rubies before people catch on and the prices spike!

I did this on my PTR acct and it didnt bind my weapon after i un-socket them. I used a Marquis Emerald tho. |

It was fixed during yesterday's PTR update. |

Min damage = 150 * 1.49 = 223.5 how did you get 1888.9? |
Min damage = 150 * 1.49 = 223.5 Here goes. ((Base Min + Calculated Ruby Min) + (Base Max + Calculated Ruby Max)) / 2 = Weapon Average DPS. Weapon Average DPS * APS = New Weapon DPS ((512 + 223) + (1248 + 447)) / 2 = 1215.5 dps. 1215.5 * 1.55 = 1884 dps So sorry, d3up.com shows 1888.9. |
So it means that's the end of emerald and the beginning of the rubbise ? If I get this right even on a manticore it's increasing the damage by a lot or am I wrong ?
I lose 2.5k dps using a marquise ruby. It really all depends on your gear
Is there someone with a manticore and 2 marquise rubies ? Would really need a screenshot without, with 1 and with 2 gems.

Here goes. gotcha, thanks. |

Thanks my friend, close to perfect on d3rawr now. Crazy weapon, 2 gems are more like 4 1/2 .

Your calculation when it's a Windforce isn't correct. Adding the correct +223 that I should get on Min but only adding +223 to Max, when it should be +447 |

I believe d3rawr is calculating the new max damage number incorrect comparing their results to what I see in PTR
D3rawr is showing much less DPS than what PTR is actually showing. I also believe d3up is not right either in simulation mode When you simulate in d3up it doesn't calculate the weapon DPS. It isn't recalculating the dps of the bow. It is just adding the dmg as an "afterthought" I think. those numbers are way off on d3up's simulator

@Monsta. I don't believe that is correct you will gain DPS. d3up simulation isn't recalculating things right if you replace a emerald with a dmg gem. It tacks it on the end which is wrong. This is why you see you lose 100 crit but gain 150 min damage and 150max damage. It isn't readjusting the bow dps at all. d3rawr shows your calamity would go from 1326.23 dps to 1712.51 dps. Based on your gear your overall DPS would go from 261,664.48 to 277,660.69 (overall gain of 15,996.21 dps). However this is actually LESS than on how PTR is showing the damage Calculating how PTR is showing it you would go from 1326.23 dps to 1905.65 on your weapon. Your overall dps would go from 261,664.48 to 307,594.37 (overall gain of 45,929.89 dps) You shouldn't lose DPS you should be gaining especially with your build.
