Diablo® III

I Want to Play.

Yea you're not alone my friend. A lot of people feel the same way. Diablo 3 is fun for me in small doses. I get bored of it quickly though. I'm really hoping for some major changes to spice things up.

indeed, and the issue is NOT the constant farming. Its that you dont feel rewarded. Just again I got again lacuni and echoying fury. Both garbage. Not even worth 250k gold. Yay! Same for the Skorn I found again as well ...

seriously. Less drops but with better quality.

so how about me, 1000 hrs, over 400MF %, I havent found a decent drop, one sold for 29mil. Should I spent another 1000-1500 hrs to find another half decent drop?

You could always play hardcore casually, that's what I'm doing.
"Farming" for countless hours would ruin any game.

and kill lose 9 out of 10 hardcore chars because of bug and lagss? No thx.

Face it. This game as a hack and slay game has serious flaws. D3 is fun up to that point where the RNG kicks you in the nuts, which is usually past Hell.

I dont mind playing for a long time. I dont mind killing countless monsters. But give me somewhat rewarding loot.

Why do I have to find 4 Skorns and all of them are useless except for the one I bought in the AH? Why do I have to find countless mempos, lacunis, etc. I would not mind to find LESS(!) items but with BETTER chances to roll something usefull, not to be 250 000 items.

And people are worried about the economy? I say screw the economy. Seriously. Screw it. There should be not such a randomness that items cost eventually several billions in gold. We are talking here about price ranges in 100, 200 and and a lot more $. Does that sound reasonable? Not to me. Sorry. And I enjoyed a few free2play games where yo ucould buy some stuff to make the game better. The principle they worked out with the RMAH and somewhat with the RMAH simply is not a rewarding system. The whole feeling of the game is to totally demotivate you. It simply is not my understanding of fun to play 900 hours, find some lvl63 legendary that is crap and to move to the AH to buy the legendary with the gold you picked up on your way ... and I sure dont complain about that I dont find items. I do find them. I find to MANY of them. Because it makes them totally trivial if you get so many supposed BiS items but they are useless because of randomness.

How about the fact that running Act 3 endlessly just becomes a soulless grind? I am with the OP. There is so much good about the game but there are so many problems as well. I find I can't bring myself to do the same thing day after day especially when the rewards are so meager. It seems that once you stop doing that you really wonder why you did it for so long...........

Just seems to me that people are too used to instant gratification. People are used to getting a medal or trophy for last place, and getting points for effort. Fact is, not everyone can be a millionaire, not everyone can have the rarest gear. If you want the rareest gear you're gonna have to work and grind for it, if not there's always the RMAH, or Angry Birds.

diablo games to begin with are economicly based, I just hate the value they gave to gold.

What if iI have this OP wand for wiz that I dont need and you have this OP axe for barb, let's trade! because you need that wand and I need that axe... this was the ''mentality'' of diablo 2

I remember, just chilling in games waiting an entire day to find someone who as an armagedon fletch to trade me, and when it does, of course i want to over pay because I REALLY need this item.

But then... blizzard reads this and theyre like... hey wait a minute... wheres my money in this

Then you're like: I TOUGHT YOU WERE DOING THIS FOR US! THE FANS!!!!
- Uh, you're a fan? Nah youre just a CLIENT.
me: WHYyyyy I want to be friends :3
-Pay me.
me: :(

Of course the game is still fresh out of the belly, what frustrate me really much is that ive waited 10 years for this game to come out, and when it finally did ( not only that i coulnt play on launch) but theres not 10 years of impatience in that game... Sorry blizzard if that sounds really harsh, just being realistic.

You guys add things to the game without even working on whats already there. That would be the best thing to do if you want a solid base... Crafting recipes are worthless ( sorry if you tought otherwise)
Salvaged hell fire ring dont even give a brimstone... ( when they would be supose to give at least 1 random organ ( you guys are good with random))

some legendaries are just way overpriced, to stabalize that mather I would recommend on making BETTER and BADDER ( excuse my english) ones.

Lets take Mempo of twilight for example, ive played close to 800 hours... Ive seen ONE drop in my circle of friends (and of course it sucked ;) even tough its the best helmet in the game)...

so you take any legendaries/set pieces/rare helmet that you want, and only one can give you perfect cc, perfect attack speed, socket, resistance to all elements and a solid main stat...

Only one belt, only one bracer... this makes me insane seriously...

WHY...

WHERES MY DIABLO GAME :(

I WANT TO PLAY!!!! ( without getting bored after 1 paragon route)

Yeah I'm tired of reading the argument that Diablo 2 was !@#$ when it first came out too!

No reason to start from scratch and not learn from mistakes made in the past.

yup Familia, thats a good idea, I actually got one to lvl 33. But I just hate the idea of wasting my time on a character that eventually will find death thanks to the server issues (rubberband/disconnects/lag). Nope, no me.

With over 1400 hrs played I have yet to find anything that sells for over 25 mill. Lately I have been logging in less and less. I start to play and stop and ask why? It's useless to play b4 1.0.7 goes live anyway imho. In the meantime I think I'll play the games I bought on the steam sale. /sigh

You've got to be kidding. There are thousands of players with thousands of hours invested with no rewards or gratification whatsoever. What do you mean we're used to instant gratification?

Is it just because you read somewhere: "I played for 20-30mins today with no drops"

No sir, the reward system in this game is flawed and it needs to be fixed asap

Agree that the time invested in this game past killing inferno diablo is really unrewarding because the dopamine spurts come so infrequently.

ID'ing a 100 items and being disappointed 100 times in a row is not a fun feeling.

I could care less about the AH/RMAH. I just want to have an endgame where I can find upgrades that make the crushing repetition feel worthwhile.

Currently I have to be really really really bored in RL and out of other options before I play D3. It just feels so pointless when a reward is virtually assured to never drop.

Paragon levels are nice but not enough in themselves to keep me playing. Crafting that has a major chance to generate worthless items is not very compelling.

I don't know why they won't let everyone be able to get max gear just grinding on their own. No rule requiring bliz to stick to the old RNG casino system of ARPG's. They could include a behind the scenes drop buff once you go long enough without a good drop.

Just anything to counter the conclusion that the endgame is such a waste of time because drop rates of worthwhile upgrades are so low. So low that you may never see one that you didn't buy off the AH.

It's partly that, yes. I think the main problem is that when that legendary does finally drop it's usually junk. So you're left with the feeling of.... why?

That I can agree is a fair complaint, and they have put some effort into making the lengendaries better, but they can still use more work. But to say "I play 10-15 mins. at a time, where's my elite gear." is a bit ridiculous.

I side with OP, because I have only had probably 2-3 drops totaling 120 million. The rest of my drops yielded spare change. OP clearly meant that they were farming the way that BLIZZARD wanted him to farm and slowly gave up over time. I hate to say it, but after farming 30k elites, I wish that I came to that conclusion when I was where he is currently at. Granted, 800 elite kills is a low level for that to happen, but I honestly WISH I came to that conclusion instead of listening to the rest of these clowns who say that these drops exist.

Because as far as I can tell, they sure as hell don't.

This is a game. You are SUPPOSED to enjoy it. Not bust your azz like it's your 9-5

You would be surprised at how many people disagree with you about this.

Nothing about the D3 community surprises me anymore.

D3 community = Greedy brats (not all but most)

I agree this is somewhat true but the random rolls in D3 are the farthest thing from instant gratification you will find in any video game ever made.

I still enjoy farming in D2 it works so well, but I do get bored after about 30-45 mins because ive been there done that for the 10 millionth time seriously. So I should enjoy D3 its something new and fresh, well not so much D3 already feels like been there done that with less features and variety.

I agree. Those of us who put in 3-4hrs a day are putt off by the soon to be Brimstones that fall. I cant even sell 99% of legs.

i have runs i do in 3 if the 4 acts.. lately i've just been keyfarming so 5 stacks, find kw and repeat. i've found a few legendaries in each. first of all, i've noticed with mf it's not more is better. if i have between 320-380 with plevel, mp and whatever mf gear, to have my best luck. also a proper farm route - i'll just tell you my stack route as everyone is different.
act 1 - cemetary. do all 3 and don't bother with level 2. then you could do festering woods, check south gate for the watchtower, etc..
act 2 - i simply do vota. or black canyon mines if just farming, and cave of the betrayer, any events that come up and the broodmother cave if it appears
act 3 - you know act 3. we all do. but in all honesty, i've gotten decent drops elsewhere. got a usable (at the time) stone of jordan in act 1. so do whatever area you like and focus on density rather than just 1 or 2 elite packs per area cleared, but also white mob density. jar of souls event in a1 crypt gives me over 10k exp alone. i know it's not huge, but it's different than the same old run. sick of whiners who are on here saying how much time they've spent in game.. doing what? if you want help polishing your runs up a bit hit me up in game.. i'd be more than happy to do a few. i'm always happy to help someone, but the complaints about drops are just asinine. i'll be in game for a bit.. gonna do a few ubers

OP has obviously used the RMAH to purchase most of his gear. He's spent a few hours in inferno and is upset that he hasn't found any upgrades to his RMAH purchases? Why is anyone taking him seriously?

Good point.

29 mil is a pretty solid drop IMO.

Enjoy playing because you enjoy playing. Then you will enjoy it.

If you only enjoy playing because you want to find a dominant item and THEN you will enjoy playing...well guess what, you prob won't enjoy playing with your dominant item either. If you play something only to "win," well, maybe try angry birds?
