Hello devs, cm's and players of diablo 3.
I want to make a post about how to expand on pvp that is not just a straight up deathmatch(DM) or team deathmatch (TDM), me and my friends was talking about pvp a few days ago and one of them said that capture the flag (CTF) would be really fun, I did totally agree with him because i have always liked CTF modes in other games because it creates an easy objective for random players to work for, you either take the flag, defend the flag carrier, kill the other teams flag carrier, easy peasy for a random group of strangers to do and it is quite fun to.
I have made a modified picture of the zone "The battlefields" from act 3 since it spoke to me from a CTF stand point, it should be a bit smaller tho so it does not become a search fest and you running around furiously only to see/hear "flag captured" it should still keep the diablo 3 spirit of all action all the time.

I will explain some point of this so it is understandable.
Lets start with the teams "Red team" and "Blue team" they start on different sides of the map with 4-6 players on each team (My personal opinion is that 6 might be better since if you are only 4 you dont have that much different class build, classes, roles and such).
When "Red team" joins their armor is automatically dyed red and same goes for "Blue team" but of course dyed blue.
The pink combs that you see at each of the starting positions are gates/doors that open once the match starts and are open the entire game since the light green capture points are in there, i was planing on drawing some more pink combs on the map since i want them to have destructible objects that opens up new paths or close some of so that the other team must take a longer way around thus making it more likely to catch the enemy flag carrier.
The brown circles are shrines like fleeting, frenzied, protection and empowered.
They don't last as long as the other shrines out in the world but around 10-20 seconds and they refresh every 2-3 minute(if games last that long but i'll don't think they will since most of D3 pvp is fast passed) at first they might give the same as outdoors shrines but if that is proven to be to strong they have to get a nerf.
The flag point is located on the top of a ruined tower(for those of you that haven't been to "the battlefields") and i think this might spawn some interesting strategies.
That is about it as far as my idea goes of diablo 3 CTF feel free to add your own ideas because i think diablo pvp can make this game realy fun for everyone even if your gear sucks you can still do something in CTF mode like stack movement speed so you can aid your team with shrines or spotting to see what the other team is up to etc etc.
Also as for my personal preference i would like to see some kind of reward for pvp maybe not gold or anything that makes your character stronger but maybe some kind of title or wings maybe even some Hermes wings on your boots because you captured the flag fast and a lot of times.
Threats of violence. We take these seriously and will alert the proper authorities.
Posts containing personal information about other players. This includes physical addresses, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, and inappropriate photos and/or videos.
Harassing or discriminatory language. This will not be tolerated.
