Diablo® III

Lag issues, I think it's the connection.

D3 was running without a hitch on max settings for a while. I don't know if I have some malware or anything on here, but lately I'll just get disconnected during huge fights, or, especially if I'm in a public game. I'm not having low frames. Just latency issues. Sometimes my latency will be green but my attacks are delayed by like ~4 seconds!

I also launch D3 thru Razer's game booster. Apparently it cuts out anything that's not required to run the game...so I'm assuming it's not something on the computer (firewall/antivirus etc) but I'm not really sure...

I've cycled the router/modem. No luck there either. I also have NetNanny on the computer (!@#$ing %@#!), could that be an issue? I have been having the worst time browsing ever since it was put on here...

Anyone know what the problem could be?

Also, diagnostic:

IndraVII,

We've seen NetNanny cause issues with World of Warcraft a lot so I'd definitely give the game a try with it uninstalled and see if it's stable.

Great. I'm guessing I'll have to go into the registry now...and brace myself for parental onslaught...stay posted

Okay, so I wasn't able to uninstall it but I was able to get it disabled for a bit. I'm still experiencing heavy latency in bigger zones like Dahlgur Oasis. I get lag issues like when I click on my resurrect button it takes up to 5-10 seconds to actually revive. What gives... also, was running mp7 recently and it was extremely delayed too. Seems to get worse the higher mp I put it (not that MP itself has any correlation).

Any other ideas?

im getting about the same thing for 2-3 weeks now. only does that on D3 getting a peak every 20-30 sec. (normally 123 msec , peak goes up to 1200-1500 msec).

i play BF3 on ultra and i have a ping of 21 constant for hours.

As far as I can tell it's only D3 as well for me. When playing SC2 or Dota 2 it runs fine.

getting loads of lag in the AH as well, takes ages for it to load auctions, expired auctions, sending stuff to stash it is getting worse add that in with the ridiculous input limit error kicking me out when all I am doing is switching tabs in the AH or switching characters then there is the horrible lag for the first minute or two when you first load up and login to the game.

Today it was running smoothly. I think it might be because of the shadow settings. If I recall correctly the 'smooth' options were added in a while back (I remember this because I remember being on max settings which are all High but I do not remember High (Smooth) under shadows, just High). Were those options added in in a past patch?

I'm getting hit hard from the host in the Chicago area. Only happens when I fire up D2 and I have an insane amount received from akamaitechnologies.
