I haven't played PoE myself as I'm a mac user, but the skill mechanics look really cool and the itemization interesting. I guess they do not have the same budget as D3 had however, so the gameplay may not feel as smooth. I do however really like their idea of maps you can find for some random caves, and that you can increase the diffuculty and at the same time the rewards of those caves. D3 needs something like that, feels like D3 has zero map randomization atm..
Mac user lol...
Torchlight has a free demo, and PoE is free to play and in open beta, so my suggestion would be to leave the Diablo 3 forums, and go install those two games. Play them and decide for yourself. I did, and in my opinion, neither game even comes close to D3.
So D3 is the clear winner unless you're one of those 'living in the past' folks who think D3 should have been D2 with better graphics. Then you'd probably want one of those other games with the antiquated systems and mechanics and low budget art direction. You'd probably also like to drive a Chevy Vega and bring back acid washed jeans.
D3 = best gameplay wise, bad loot
TL2 = good gameplay, didn't play enough to judge the loot
PoE = worst gameplay, bad loot... i mean seriously you kill like 50 blue/yellow mobs and only get 15 items or so.

Either game will be better in your opinion as long as it is still the new shiny. Also while you are leveling there will be hardly any complaints. But get into the meta game for either game. Get to the point you are legitimately looking for the BiS gear for your character. Then you will no doubt be crying a river of tears.
Now in the Cheater's Paradise you can give yourself any piece of gear that you want by using the Editor that comes with the game. Don't have enough gold or taking a little longer than you like leveling. Just fire up the Editor and bam your problems are solved.
game felt weard before you got your gems.
Now i realise its siply the best hack n slash ot there.

I ultimately think Diablo 3 is the most fun, but I seriously wish it had Torchlight 2's itemization. Path of Exile... I tried it for 5 minutes, then was disconnected. In those 5 minutes, I wasn't impressed. I may try it again once it's in full live release. I don't expect it to replace D3.
you can try PoE it is free to play
and you can upgrade your items with materials etc so its best you research that yourself but it has more items than D3
diablo3 =60$ and you get garbage items when you reach lvl 60 and start grinding paragon
torchlight 2=20$ i do think theres a demo somewhere but i am not sure because i did not look
There is a demo for TL2, and also for D3..
you mean the wow carton graphics they put in D3 ?
or the 111 skill points you can put with runes in D3 or wait thats PoE at least they went threw the trouble of making a skill tree
dont comment on a game you havent tried for more than 5 minutes
also to note i have not played PoE i follow the forums and read game info about the game as i have no time to play games lately but that wont stop me from countering retards that cant even take the time to try the game long enough to give a proper review
PoE graphics bad ?
You been to the solaris temple in Act 3 yet? its gorgeous..
EDIT: I'm happy with how things turned out... if d3 didn't completely change the formula and shoot for new experience i would never have heard of PoE...
Sure, D3 is a great game for some, but not for me. PoE has taken what made D2 great reinvented it into something fresh, exciting and relevant for 2013 ...
no interest in TL2 - doesnt feel right when i play ( though i LOVE the soundtrack ! )
