Yeah, this was Diablo 2.9999999999999999999...

something real bad came right after Diablo 3 came out

It's sad because that game had runes, enchanting, better looking dark maps. It's sad now were stuck with mobs every 20 feet and they barely make any sound effects when they die.

We need more gore and blood splashing.

In before the fanboys hijack the thread and sprout some rose tinted rubbish. The game in the video looks pretty decent,it's a shame we all got ripped off and suckered into buying a game that was nothing like that video.

Amen. Not to mention this game we are playing now is just seriously this. Kill scorpions, fat clown guys, pile of skulls, and fallens literally all this game is. Not to mention charging bulls, seriously? I could draw 20 different mobs that we could fight that are cooler than that. Oh and I hate having to run three miles to find one group of mobs, all this game is just maps that go in circles and mobs every 20 feet. If the devs care to read this they would fix this problem or write it down for a future fix.

I secretly hope they release the shelved ideas in video and all this good stuff back then with the expansion. Along with totally new and awesome stuff of course.

I know it sucks we need to pay 30-40 bucks for content we were advertised as gameplay and fooled to be had ingame, but if they get their poop together and realize their mistake i am willing to pay em to fix it. The expansion will be a hit or miss with me and probably many others. That's why i will carefully observe their actions and take my final stand.

If nothing of the above happens there will be no hope for d3 at least for me... But i would like to remain positive at least for now. Dunno how tho as i rarey log to play the game, scarcely even...

Thank you for the bump, but also your thoughts and I'm hoping this thread will be viewed by the Devs in a positive way.

thats what a mob should be, 50-100 little guys swarming you, while you then proceed to wreck them all with a backhand or a mean look causing them all to explode unreasonably. monster density ftw. every act should be like that.

Thank you and please guys keep bumping this with positive feedback. It's worth a chance it will be taken into consideration.

Excuse me, dude. We'll have none of that around here, thank you very much.

I'm sick of you non-fanboys pretending you actually remembered anything whatsoever about your 5-10 years playing Diablo 2. You've been told time and time again - you remember incorrectly. I'm sick of having to repeat myself. You will do as you're told, and you will do it now.

Guess you should follow your own advice and GO FARM ACT 3, lmao...

Have any of you actually watched or read the detailed reviews of teh game yet? Yes, the game seems a great deal like Diablo 2 with HD backdrops, but the game is a rune based system. Think of the Materia system in final fantasy VII. They even threw in the skill tree similar to final fantasy X.

Many of the reviewers outright said it was a great game, but there is no serious replay value in it once someone discovers a rune/skill build that works.

At least with Diablo 3 I can experiment with my skills and change it on the fly to suit my needs.

Also, if you ever did want to do any armor/weapon upgrades, you'd have to re do all your skills, since the skills are slot based. If you have a piece of armor with 4 slots, but you needed an upgrade, and that one only has 2 slots, you would have to re-build your skills and play differently.

Yes, that game looks great, and yes it will be cheap, but no, I do not see spending hundreds of hours in it like Diablo 2 and 3.

You didn't watch the video, and you assume that it is about PoE, But it is actually a video of D3 before release.

Same could be said about D3.

At least with Diablo 3 I can experiment with my skills and change it on the fly to suit my needs.

So if skills are Rune/Materia based, I could experiment with them and change them on the fly to suit my needs? So changing skills is awesome if it's in D3, But it's bad if it's in a different game?

Also, if you ever did want to do any armor/weapon upgrades, you'd have to re do all your skills, since the skills are slot based. If you have a piece of armor with 4 slots, but you needed an upgrade, and that one only has 2 slots, you would have to re-build your skills and play differently.
So you would have to think about and adjust your skill set, and playstyle and tactics adding to the gameplay. But that's bad right?

Yes, that game looks great, and yes it will be cheap, but no, I do not see spending hundreds of hours in it like Diablo 2 and 3.

There are 6 classes, each with at least 4 different "Builds" you could use. not to mention random dungeons , greatly increasing the replay value that you say doesn't exist. culminating in hundreds of hours play time. How many people have rolled more than 1 Softcore Barb?

People have hundreds of hours logged on to D3 because quality loot hardly ever drops for most people.
