Shoulders are supposed to give str bonuses.
Gloves are supposed to give int and dex bonuses. Chest is supposed to give a vit bonus. So why do the given stats on Crafted boa loot not reflect this? |

I dont understand what you are trying to convince here but cool story.
Incase you just misread the whole recipe thing I'd quote it cause personally I havnt experienced any issues with the stats they are giving. Blacksmith Four Rare recipes have been added to the Blacksmith: Archon Spaulders (Shoulders), Archon Gauntlets (Gloves), Archon Armor (Chest Armor), Razorspikes (Bracers) Each crafted item will have the following characteristics: iLevel 63 6 Affixes Account-bound Similar to the Hellfire Ring, it will have four variants, each guaranteeing a fixed core stat which will have the highest range available in the game The values for several of the fixed core stats have been increased: Archon Spaulders: Dexterity, Intellect, and Vitality can now roll 201-230 in their respective stat (up from 100-115) Strength could already roll in this range, and so remains unchanged Archon Gauntlets: Strength and Vitality can now roll 201-230 in their respective stat (up from 100-115) Dexterity and Intellect could already roll in this range, and so remained unchanged Archon Armor: Strength, Dexerity, and Intellect can now roll 201-230 in their respective stat (up from 101-115) Razorspikes: Strength, Dexeterity, Intellect, and Vitality can now roll 201-230 in their respective stat (up from 101-115) Crafting the item will require 1 Demonic Essence (other reagent costs will vary per recipe) The Rare and Magic reagent costs for Archon Gloves and Razorspikes have been updated: Archon Gloves Now require 20 Iridescent Tears (instead of 50 Exquisite Essences) Razorspikes Now require 30 Exquisite Essence (instead of 25 Iridescent Tears) |

Shoulders are supposed to give str bonuses. yes, so true, because you dont need main stat on all pieces of gear. im not even sure what youre trying to say |

Because they'd like them to compete with the other items in the game. If it's BoA it'd better be better, or at least potentially better, than anything in the game. Since Vile wards could all role higher dex/int than the BoA could, you need to up the int/dex on shoulders.
Since IK gauntlets could roll higher strength, the BoAs need to too. Since inna's, nats, tal's, and zuni's chests are all better with either their set bonuses, or in the case of tal's, their incredible IAS, you need to up that too. There you go, that's why. |

Above all, the new crafting is boring. They should have given the items Crit as inherent stat instead, and so you had to be a bit lucky to get a mainstat to roll instead. Then on every roll you may get something useful for any class but need to be lucky to get it to your main character. Then I may even consider to craft things.
Now it feels.... boring. |

You can choose the attribute you are getting.

With the "new changes" to Shoulders, there maybe a few rolls that could beat the Vile Wards or a nicely rolled Rares (even for Barbs)...just wonder how many tries will it take to roll 200 STR/200 VIT etc type rolls...that "won't out DPS" a 280 STR Vile Ward but will be much tankier and higher EHP allowing us some "end game choices" based on playstyle etc.
