Wrong pvp actions. And stop OP monk.

Ok Blizzard,i enjoyed PVP a lot until i met 1 monk. He came and 1 shooted me.Ok,i didnt use ignor pain and for that i died by 1 shoot. But when i used ignor pain,result wasnt better.The monk 2 shooted me with his OP OP and OP Wave of Light. I am barb with 90k hp,10500 armor,830 resist,a 32% chanse to block stormshield,using ignor pain and he just came bam bam and i was dead. And that monk even is not end game geared. 150 k dps with skorn. Because that 900% weap dmg and 6 sek immortality monks without any problem use skorn. You didnt have to buff so much that skill.Maybe a litle.
And more,now you gave dmg reduction to the ranged heroes.But you rly shouldnt do this. Do you know how hard is to catch 260k dps DH with legacy natalia? 1 min non stop smoke screen. And now bonus 30% dmg reduction. That means that i have to make 30% more dmg but still have the same defensive gear. Ok,but who will give me 300 mil to do this? Bliizzard?
I am up for reduce rend dmg,but stop buffing monks. He is strong anyway. And remove this bonus dmg reduction. It is not needed,the duel against range hero with similar gear is already long.
A good geared burst damage monk kinda hardcounters barb.

Try changing gems for +Dex and looking for decent Dex adds on equip (should be around 20% dodge before gem changes and other arrangements). Also use dodge Warcry and Sprint to mitigate the burst and you might survive the first wave and have a chance.

Agree on damage reduce stupidity.
Seriosly,what about that range heroes now how 30% dmg reduction? This is absurd.

barb and monks can hit in range too. dont know why u re complaining. best damage skills are from barbs and monks.
To be honest there is not much skill needed as a burst monk against barb.

Just take a strong 2h weapon (like Skorn), fire 7sided, Serenity and as many bells as you can afford. Barb should be dead. If not, run in circles for 20s until your cooldowns are ready again and repeat. You don't even have to chase him down because he has to come to you.

About Barb and Monk range attacks:
Weaponthrow is viable (and quite strong) against Wizards, barely situational against WD (covered by Pets, invisibility etc.) and completely useless against DH (high SS uptime + high dodge value = he damages you way more than you damage him in standoff situation and 90% miss in all other situations).
Use against monk varies, but direct attacks are usually not that good because of dodge.
Rend is the way to go (because it is mostly the only way) in all matchups, and for rend you have to come close.

Monk has good gap closers, but still needs to be in melee range and will eat some free hits before he can engage.
I'm nitpicking, but Serenityis 4 seconds, not 6 ;)

Yeah,Serenityis is 4 seconds,but 2 more from SSS (untargetable) makes 6 sek.
So monk just get skorn and it is fine for dueling.
skorn sucks in dueling, no offence. you will just end up being trashed by any good player.

Care to elaborate?

A good skorn is pretty decent when you wanna burstdmg a Barbarian.
Ok so lets sum it up:

  You say monk is OP
+You say ranged classes are OP with the 30% DR
====================================
You say all classes other than barb are OP

Doesn't negate the fact that he is correct. I've seen them go as high as what...20% reduction in melee damage (if not more). That and some extra dexterity should help OP out quite a bit.

I don't think the bell counts as melee though. Not sure about 7sided.
those monk skills are OP, as are rend, haunt, storm armor, smoke screen, and many other things. just because a monk wreck you does not mean it is the only thing that is imbalanced. that is why damage reduction needs to be even more, maybe double what it is now (70% melee, 60% ranged) and all survival/defensive stats need to be capped in PvP (around 75% chance or mitigation). diminishing returns on +life% gear too. diminishing returns on dps past 300k or an additional % reduction to PvP crit damage might help balance it out too.
All you had to do was rend and sprint away... He can't kill you if he can't catch you. You don't need 300mil, you need a brain.
Man a barb crying over monk bells! Your stats are good bro gotta give it to you but..

I've played all classes and the way I see it, every other class has their own "OP" skills. We just have to find the right mix of our own class' skills to counter it. That's why some people change builds while dueling... to create new strategy.

Just take pvp for what it is and just have fun.. if you find that your dying much in duel, say gg and go look for a new game where you'll always win and people will also leave you. lol Or create a prviate game with your fave players.

WOTB Striding Giant (+60% dodge) with a base of about 1000 dex (20% dodge) will tank out all monk attacks for 15 seconds. After the 6 seconds of it's clobbering time with either frenzy or weapon throw for perm-stun.

As for ranged, you know the drill, sprint and rend.
