for win7 C:\ProgramData <-- hidden folder
1. delete the folder Blizzard Entertainment
2. delete the folder Battle.net
above 2 is the source of client that indicate you are SG client..

3. go to diablo 3 website
https://us.battle.net/account/management/download/
make sure select
Game Client*
Americas & Oceania / English (US) (Change)
downloads the installer.. link back to the D3 folder
if you do correctly it will patch with US server

worked for me. thanks :)

Don't understand the "link back" step in this. You can' t install to the same folder and I really dont want to download 8 gig again. Can you please explain in more detail?

Got it working now too.

After I deleted the 2 folders as suggested previously and downloaded the new enUS client, I renamed all my MPQ files and folders from where it was enSG to enUS so it does not have to download everything again.

(Make a backup of your current Diablo III folder before attempting all this and do these changes at your own accord)

Data_D3 - PC - MPQs: The 3 files in the root
Data_D3 - PC - MPQs: enSG folder to enUS
Data_D3 - PC - MPQs - Cache: enSG folder to enUS
Data_D3 - PC - MPQs - Cache enUS: All files in there named like this for example patch-enSG-9558.MPQ to patch-enUS-9558.MPQ

Ran the client again pointing to the old Diablo III directory and went straight to the patch.

So yeah, in short, seems like its the client again guys.

This works. What I did was cut and paste those 2 folders onto my desktop. I went to that link and downloaded the Diablo 3 client. When you start the .exe program, it will give you an update. (This point you can close the diablo 3 installer that shows the terms and conditions agreement page) I looked back into that folder to realise that the "Battlenet" folder was created. I then cut and paste the blizzard folder back into its original spot. Opened up Diablo 3, then it downloaded the patch.

Do this, and it should work.

After this what you can do is go to C:\ProgramData\Battle.net\Agent ( win 7) and open agent.db as wordpad and change parts where it says enSG to enUS so u have:

1)"patch_url" : "http://enUS.patch.battle.net:1119/patch",
2)"installed_locales" : [
"enUS"
3)"display_locales" : [
"enUS",
4)"selected_locale" : "enUS",
5)"selected_asset_locale" : "enUS",

you dont have to download the client to do this, just have to run diablo 3 as admin.
Hope this helps~
