Most of us were complaining about the drop rates and poor itemization on the game. But as playing only 4-5 hours at 1.07 patch , i can feel that crafting gained a serious importance compared to previous patches. At 1.06 , i wasn't paying attention to crafting because there are limited plans , and you have a very slim chance to craft an item that will be worth the effort. However , with this patch the plans that drops seems more promising. For example , i found a archon shoulder of vitality plan , which yields +200-230 vitality plus 5 random properties. At my second or third craft i got a shoulder armor approximately like this;
- 178 STR
- 218 VIT
- 5 % LIFE
- 7 PICK UP RADIUS
which obsolates my Vile Ward. What i am trying to say , if there are more plans like this , i am sure that the variety of gear and builds will increase in the game.
Well the sad part is they are account-bound so i can not use it as a money-making crafting machine :)
For the conclusion , i think Blizzard did a good thing by increasing the importance of crafting.
Does the primary stat of the BS plan have different ranges?
No the Plans are all the same. 200-230 range on the shown main stat and 5 random affixes.
The items you craft from the plans can roll up to another 100 of the main stat (150 for neck) if you get a hybrid roll with the main stat for a total of 330 main stat (380 for neck)
