1. Make sure that Windows is set to show hidden files.
Here's how to do that: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Show-hidden-files
2. Navigate to the C:\ProgramData folder and delete the Battle.net folder and the Blizzard Entertainment folder.
3. Navigate to the Diablo III folder and delete the "Updates" folder.
4. Launch Diablo III.
Let me know what happens.
I'm available Monday through Friday from 11AM to 8PM Pacific Time

I am having the same problem and i cant find any solution. I click on the icon (world of warcraft/starcraft 2) and i get to the "updating blizzard launcher" spot and it stops loading at 60%. I tried your suggestion and it still does not work. The weird part is that i cant log in to other games such as league of legends either. Is there anything else i can do?
P.S. Other computers in the house do not have this problem and load the games just fine.
edit the Diablo III shortcut and change
......Diablo III Launcher.exe"
......Diablo III.exe" --launch
This will bypass the launcher. If the server has an update, you will have to try your luck with the launcher and hope it updates your client.
