Diablo® III

Can't log in from new computer

I recently got a new computer and am trying to play Diablo 3. I reinstalled the game then hit 'Play' button and I get this message -

"Our login system has detected a change in your access pattern and your account has been locked. Additional verification is required for you to log in. Please select your verification method."

I choose the "Unlock from Battle.net website"
then I choose the verify a CD-key from a previously registered game option. I entered the cd-Key
from Diablo 3 then it asked me to reset my password (don't know why, it's not what I wanted, but i did it anyways)
then i needed to verify the E-mail that was sent for the password change, so I did.

Then I tried to log into the game again and got the same message about "Our login system has detected a change in your access pattern and your account has been locked. Additional verification is required for you to log in. Please select your verification method."

WTH? I can log onto Battle.net (I'm posting this from the same account I'm trying to play from), but I can't play my registered game.

Cracknskulls,

That's something you'll need to create a support ticket for I'm afraid.

This article will lead you through the process.

I submitted a ticket, but just wanted to make it known that I think this is BS. The fact that I can log into Battlenet and see all my Blizzard registered games, but can't sign in to play Diablo 3 because it doesn't recognize this computer is just ridiculous.

D3 seems to have an issue with the login detection system sometimes (they are independent per game it seems) and gets stuck in a lockout loop. The only thing I have seen recommended that works is to attach an Authenticator to the account to make the lockout system less sensitive. On top of that, you can use SMS Protect and instead of having to use the website to unlock the account, it will just send you a code to enter. It would be better if they fixed the lockout loop, but consider those two options if you have not already. It may help you resolve the issue.
