Diablo® III

SimCity - Same Problem as D3 - Always on

It seems much of todays software wants us connected - Of course their excuse is that it provides more fun. - maybe, maybe not, depends who you ask. Although my question is what else does it provide or give away. Perhaps Im just suspicious.

The fact is, when you make a game severely broken to prevent piracy, the only ones who will get to play it correctly are the pirates and hackers.

Games are being made now to (in theory) stop pirates, not entertain gamers. It's like if cops didn't protect people when needed, they just stopped everyone's car and searched it.

You know, they have that. In fascist countries.

Pirates have dedicated servers?? lol... Highly doubt this...

Loopback address and localhost. You don't need a remote server to connect to, your PC can fake the authentication server.

OS cracks utilize this heavily.
