Welcome to the AU/NZ Uber/Key Farming Group redux.
This group is intended to help players of a similar level and in similar timezones find each other for some key farming and Uber battles.
To join this group
2. Add existing players from the group and make sure you include something in the message about this thread so they know where you are coming from (e.g. "Aus/NZ Uber Thread, Barb, 150k dps, MP8").

MP10 carries: Although this thread is not about providing a carry service, a number of players in the MP10 bracket are willing to help carry others in the group. All players with an asterisk (*) in front of their Battletag can be contacted to provide a FREE carry - no one in this group will charge you gold, but you must bring your own machines. The players willing to carry are mostly interested in helping others in this group. When adding someone from the list for a carry, please let them know this in your message (e.g. "Uber Carries, Aus/NZ Uber Thread, Have 3 machines"). Please DO NOT contact anyone who does not have an asterisk in front of their listing - even though they may be perfectly capable of providing a carry, they may not want to which is why they have not nominated. If all you are looking for is a carry service, there are many around for you to use, including these AU/NZ ones:

Is this group like a clan/guild?
No. It's for casual and serious players alike and is very informal. There is no organisation of anything here other than maintaining the list of players in the group. However, if you are interested in a clan/guild experience, then you should check out The Southern Legion (TSL): http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/7908630925
How do you guys organise Uber fights - are there any rules?
Not really - just see who is free. However, there are some "unspoken" rules about sharing machines. For example, one popular technique is the "Where's Waldo?" method. Because there are four players and only three machines needed, some players like to set up a race to find the Keywarden in Fields of Misery to determine who does not have to provide a machine - first person to find KW and plant a flag/say so in chat does not have to pay with a machine. This is a good method because it is fair. Another way is to do four runs together as a group - this way, by the end of it everyone has provided 3 machines. In the end, you should just work this out amongst yourselves - these are just some examples of what has already been used in the group. If you yourself in a game where you don't like the rules, it's probably best to just politely leave and try to find another game.
I have improved my gear and would like to move up an MP or two. How do I do this?
Simply reply to this thread and state what MP you are currently in and which one you would like to go to. Easy.
What MP should I put myself in?
I don't know, so whatever MP you nominate :) However, if you place yourself in an MP that is higher than you can handle do not be surprised if you stop receiving invites from others in the group to farm keys and do Ubers. You need to remember that the Uber bosses were designed to be more powerful than any other bosses in the game. However, a good guide is to test yourself against an Act 4 boss and see what is the highest MP you can BOTH survive AND kill efficiently.
I would like to help carry others in this group - how can I do this?
First of all, if you have never done a carry before you should test it out with a friend - invite them to a game, get stacks together, start Uber battles and ask them to die at the very start and not leave the game. If you can survive and beat the Ubers under these conditions you are definitely capable of a team carry. Of course this is just a guide and it doesn't apply to all classes and builds. Plus, this way of testing yourself doesn't determine what you can contribute in a team and how well you will work in a team. But in the end you need to be able to supply DPS or crowd control (or both) AND easily survive MP10 Ubers. To join the list of players who are willing to carry, let us know here and contact one of the existing carriers in game for a run. After they vouch for you here, I will add an asterisk to your listing. It's better if you've done a few runs with the carriers first before testing yourself out on a carry - teamwork is pretty important for carries so it helps to have some experience together.

It's good too see so many players on the Aus/NZ forums that are capable of doing high MP Key Runs/Ubers. It looks like i will have too add a few people on the list, as ive only played with half of them LOL.
Nice work on the updated thread Abend.
Hey mate great job, I have had members of TSL ask me to do this for the Guild. Do you mind if I link this to the TSL sticky? It, would help out heaps. That way I dont have to track down every one and find out what MP they can do.

Good work abend
LOL. I'm only just getting started :P
Of course, go for it. I'll add something later today in the FAQ about TSL too. I'm hoping Arc will soon replace the old sticky thread with this one, which will also make it easier for people to find. And added you to MP7.
I can do mp8+ with my wizard.
I guess I am ready for MP10. I'm actually soloing MP8 easily in rend/revenge spec and MP10 in Hota spec. I can survive easily, it's only the killing speed that needs a bit more work in MP10 though Im buffing now at 230k dps, it isn't that slow!
I can't stress how important this is.
I get quite a few invites for friends mainly from pubby games which I join because I find the farming of gems/essense/crafting goodies to drop better in pubbies than solo.
I then usually get invites from erm, how to put this nicely, "low dps" players looking for a future carry.
I have accepted some of them, thinking they are from the Aus/NZ uber group only to realise they aren't and the flip side is that I've probably rejected some requests from genuine Aus/NZ uber players, thinking they where erm, "low dps" players looking for a carry.
So if anybody has sent myself a friends request and I've rejected it, I apologize. If you want to resend the request and add that your from the Aus/NZ uber thread, I'd be glad to add you because im pretty eager to whallop some Uber's!
