I do notice that a lot of players in my game are able to survive due to my freezing Wizard. But they usually have such low DPS that they barely contribute to the team. So for those players who can survive MP10 but do this at a significant slow pace I recommend to pick a lower MP.
Also just because I am able to carry you doesn't mean you should lay back, wear Caine's set and XP rings just so you can benefit behind the back of your teammates.
We all know (mostly) what is expected of us in public games. We just don't abide by them since there's neither adverse consequence nor sanction against it.
This is sooooo true
I believe leech are aware parasiting in public games are totally unwelcome
They just choose to ignore and get higher XP/gold in the free ride
I just did a public MP6 using my monk with 3 others yesterday
3 (me included) have DPS ~120K-150K
but one is a 28K DPS barb who always run near others and only join finishing-kill
he even stand still in a corner in ghom's chamber and wait for the moment of ghom's near-death
Upon finishing I politely advise this barb to upgrade his gears before running any MP3+ public games
Guess how he respond?
"Would it be easier for you to leave?"

Don't know what number this would be now, but here's mine:
Be aware of where you are standing! Do not stand in the fire, plague, arcane, etc, but DO stand in the positive buffs other classes give you (such as Slow Time, Big Bad Voodoo, Sentry, etc).
I can't count how many times I drop BBV and people neglect its bonuses!
MP levels vs DPS *Buffed* - Rough Guide.
I think it should be more like this...
and why the hell would you be playing inferno if your dps is lower than 50k after buff... go farm gold and buy some cheap gear on AH please...
Last night i was running MP2 with 3 below 90K dps buffed... it was aweful...
i can probably clear faster alone.
Playing on MP0 is the fastest way to gain experience for the most part. IMO, players should stay at the MP level where they can quickly kill enemies. It's more efficient, and the most fun too. Even very well geared players take lots of time killing enemies in MP10 public games. At any rate, the OP was simply stating his/her opinion.
