15" Retina MBP - Low FPS fix is out

Thought I'd share that Apple just released a fix for the low FPS issue on 15" Retina MBPs (the one that could be temporarily fixed by resetting your SMC).

Haven't had the chance to test it but they specifically call out the fix in the notes.

Damnit, ya beat me :P

That's what I get for being stuck on the phone with Sprint to get a bogus charge caused by a scam removed from my mom's phone.

Grrrr...

(OK, I'm glad somebody posted this either way, woohoo!)

Preferrably before the final OS update before those models cannot update further, like they have done continually for years now.

It's an SMC fix. Not an FPS fix. My 2011 Mac was plagued by SMC, yet even after the software update my FPS remained stubbornly low.

I'm hoping for performance tweaks, but that's as likely as Jay Wilson refraining from name calling.

I think the phrase "pot, meet kettle" applies here. This is a tech support thread, not a thread to bash others for any reason. Please try to remember that.
