Diablo® III

PVP - basically an overwhelming failure

...that underscores the lack of foresight plaguing the entire development process characteristic of D3.

1. Excluding graphics, is the game play system in any way an upgrade of its older successful predecessor?

2. Tiny arenas are exponentially less fun than and inversely proportional to the experience that comes with open world pvp, and this should be a no-brainer.

3. Class balance is a complete joke in every way.

4. 4 players per game = seriously weak game play. A massive fraud perpetrated by the company that used to be blizzard entertainment, you know... the one that made Diablo games.

You may be right on the other points but not this one, which is the only one related to this Brawling forum. It's already hard to find where the DH's and barbs are if they decide to run from you, and you wanna make the map bigger?

You might want to... "re-evaluate" your total HP and gear layout before venturing into the pvp world. It is a completely different ball game. :)

Yes, Diablo 3 is way more balanced than Diablo 2. It is also much more diverse when you factor in gear diversity in making builds work.

Watch this D2 video to understand.

I have to agree on this one, nothing beats open world PVP. Who knows, when things get settled down in the later patches we might just get that.

As of the moment, i'd rather have them fix the label of "Monster Power" to a much more user friendly syntax. Many new players don't understand the lingo and get disappointed upon entering the game. It is also a hassle to turn it on manually in the options and ask random people on what it is.

I think it's the worst idea for D3.....

way better to have many choices of arena than having a "pvp world" .... anyway what was duel in d2?? only blood moor but you could escape by teleporting very far in the map?

nahhh jsut make it with limits so you cannot escape from your opponent

PvP is not an failure if it's not even implemented in the first place.

And blizzard did warn that brawling is going to be unbalanced.... read the notes.

Why would you want open world PvP except that you can't legitimately beat your opponents and need the help of elites?

Point of fact, Blizzard didn't make Diablo or Diablo 2, Blizzard North did, an entirely separate developer. Blizzard North was shut down, their version of Diablo 3 scrapped, and this version of Diablo 3 was made by entirely different people.
