Diablo® III

Latency and Bad lags issue (Singapore)

I just sent this

I know you think its my second hop, but lets work on the assumption that my isp is blocking tracert response on my second hop. I am already trying to get a response from my isp. but if it is a local issue at my side then i shouldn't be seeing such perculiarities.

Either way, please look at it

I seem to get this problem between the hours of 3AM PDT - 11 AM PDT only.

the time now is 820am GMT+8 /5PM PDT . the game is COMPLETELY lagless now.
yet my tracert is still timing out on my 2nd hop. so this second hop thing does not seem to be a factor

it will probably remain lagless so until 3AMPDT thereabouts. (3am PDT is just a rough guide, since that's 6pm at my end when I knock off work and usually start playing)

hank you for contacting Blizzard Support. I am Account and Technical Support Rep Tammillo.

I had noticed after looking over your MSInfo, that you have a program on start up called "PeerBlock". This program has been know to cause connection related issues. I would suggest first doing the below troubleshooting step to see if that assists.

I spoke too soon. its 1235am / 9am pdt.

I entered a pub game and soon i hid red bar at cydea. I left game and made one solo game and it also turned red.

tried a3 game = lag
a2 game = also lag
a1 game = no lag
back to a3 game = no lag.

so its very sporadic

Some how I think the issue is about the maintaince last Tuesday. Can't be so coincidence that our isp singnet suddenly broad cast lower signals and make our latency all so high.

singnet called me to inform that there was congestion to the USA that was resolved on the 24th/Mar

not sure if its related to the ddos war against spamhaus

lag is back again . it dissappeared from 24th march and its back after tuesday's maintenance... argh

Thanks Lezard

This worked for me. My game had to update again after deleting my cache (3.8GB download), but it's flawless now.

Before it occasionally went up to about 400ms.

For those who's actual game freezes (FPS lag, not msec lag) and not Internet lag, delete your D3Prefs.
