Error 3007 happening in last few days.

Hello all, as the title suggests in the last few days i have been getting error 3007 when attempting to log in. Sometimes, maybe once out of 100, it'll log onto american server but very very rarely. I can connect to the Euro server for some reason.

It has only started in the last few days and my roomamte can still connect on his PC. Any help would be amazing.

Since you're having issues logging into the Americas region, could you provide a traceroute for us to see if there is a spot that appears to have issues?

You will need to open the Terminal application found in /Applications/Utilities/ folder and enter the following line:

traceroute us.logon.battle.net

Let it run until it you have at least two lines that have * * * timeout indicators in them, and then press CTRL-C to stop the traceroute. Copy and paste everything in the traceroute into a post here and we'll start the process of helping you out.

Unfortunately streaming does matter, as it tends to make your latency much higher, especially a 1080p stream. I suspect this is why the ping to your router is 88ms when it should be less than 1ms. That said, your times appear normal from somebody that's having to go through telstra's DNS.

Have you tried changing your DNS to use Google's DNS entries?

You can learn how to do so here:


Follow the instructions for OS X, making sure to write down the settings you have before you attempt this. Let's see if that allows you to get past the 3007 error.

You Sir, are amazing. As you could probably tell i had no idea where to start.

Changing the DNS to google servers (no idea what that even means) has fixed it instantly.

The real thanks goes to Narull and Bluspacecow, our resident ANZ MVPs. They are the ones that I originally learned this from. I simply added the info to my tech support files for helping out when somebody has issues.

my games not work at all since last patch....i am extremely close to giving up on PC gaming....D3 shows it is not worth all this time to pay your money to play something that does not work properly....this has been an overall sad experience and i will be telling everyone that listens to steer away from PC gaming......
