High Latency since 04/26

Since Friday night D3 has become virtually unplayable. My latency generally runs from about 120-140ms and I have no issues with the game. However since last night my latency jumps between 120-2000+ causing freezing, stuttering and makes the game unplayable. Nothing has changed in my system setup and my ISP tells me they are not experiencing any problems on their end. My system info is as follows and I will gladly run a tracert if I know the IP address to run it to.

-- Have you recently installed any new programs or perhaps malware you don't know of?
-- Windows updated? Firewall / antivirus updated? Chipset sound, video, drivers updated?
-- Speedtest.net for internet down/up speed test.
-- Shut down any extra programs running.
-- Try switching to lowest video / sound settings and change to windowed gameplay to check latency.
-- Once in-game, check fps with ctrl-R.

thanks for replying...however whatever the problem was it has resolved itself without me making any changes on my end. Perhaps something to do with the hotfix? either way it's working now.

I don't know but since the same date I can't play either my latency is high like that but in my case the problem wasn't solved, I didn't install any software didn't do anything with my computer.

make sure to run a tracert and pathping while you are lagging.

I also started lagging last night 4/27/13. Today I connected an ethernet cable instead of running wireless. It didn't make a difference. Called Comcast and everything looked good on their end. Ran tracert and pathping. The 2nd 15 steps under tracert timed out. I don't know what a proper tracert report looks like. My pathping created a txt doc but it was blank.

I tested my softcore toon versus my hardcore toon and it seems I lag more in HC. I don't know what else to do other than order a replacement router from Comcast.

typically hop#1 is your computer.
then hop#2 is your ISP.

so if you have problems in the first few hops its likely your gear or your ISP. this is why posting pathping and tracert info is important. that information (especially the pathping) tells whats going on.
