Gold cap and BoA Gear are now necessary.

Finally i' ve read wise word, good job Drothvader... its good to see that players got a brain and use it, now lets hope developers got one aswell, they use it and, more important, lets hope they have hers in order to hear such ideas.. maybe they are just brain like a supreme mind flyer (those creatures dont have hears and not even an heart...), let's hope not
Gold caps don't work as intended. Coming from a game with gold caps I can say that people will store their value in items instead of gold. In other words the richest players would have inventories full of the games best items which could be bought, sold and traded as needed.
Some of my BOA crafted items are better than stuff selling for 2 beez. Lol, I'm happy. Hopefully they expand to all slots.

For those that didn't use outside systems in Diablo 2 that's what happened anyway. That isn't really an issue to tell you the truth as it can be done even today to hoard wealth. But it can also bite you in the rear if you hold onto your stash for too long and the items devalue. That's why it isn't really an issue - the natural depreciation of an item's value balances out the hoarding (unless there is no item refresh or system wipe such as a ladder reset).

I like having crafting options. I don't necessarily think making every slot craftable as BiS or near BiS with BoA is a good thing when what players really want out of the game is to actually find their loot through slaying hordes of monsters. It's a stopgap measure, but it shouldn't be relied upon as a be-all and end-all to finding gear. There's not really as much fun hitting a crafting button as there is hitting say Rita Repul...I mean Maghda and shutting her pie hole while finding a shiny to play with.

I was a little peeved at you earlier...and now I'm not. It's two-fold though. No, the best items in a Diablo game should NEVER be BoA. I'm glad to know we agree on that. Also...good one with the Rita Repulsa remark. Hadn't even thought of it. ;)
