diablo 3 patch required

i have fully updated diablo 3 and i keep getting the message "a new patch for diablo 3 is avalible. the game will now close and apply the patch automatically. you will be able to continue playing after the patch has been applied."

If you've managed to patch your game client, it means you have the US version. In that case, you won't be able to connect to the EU region until that region has patched which is scheduled to begin later on tonight at around 8:00 PM Pacific Time. They estimate it will take about 6 hours to complete the maintenance once it's started.

if you have the US version can you roll back, in order to play on the Eu servers?! to be honest i dont know why I would even have the US version, I bought the game in Sweden, I've only played in Sweden on the EU servers....

No, rolling back a patch isn't possible. If you want to play on the EU servers, I suggest downloading and installing the EU game client.

so how do I install the EU game client? do you mean I have to completely reinstall d3?

You'd download it from your Battle.net account management page. Make sure you log in to the EU regional website though.

Over to the right, select Download Game Clients.

Under the Diablo III section, verify under the game client it says EU version you want. If not, click the Change button and select the appropriate client for you.

Select either the Windows of Mac version and it will download the installer.

You may want to delete or rename the existing Diablo III client you have before installing in case you want to use it again for some reason, then just execute the installer you just downloaded.
