Auction Houses Up and Running

So, What's Next?

Many people bought and sold items and gold on the Auction House on Tuesday. We're making sure that all legitimate transactions go through. This means that if your account was not involved in the exploit, you will get to keep your items and gold, as well as any money you received from sales on the real-money Auction House. We'll also be donating all proceeds from auctions conducted by the suspended or banned players—including all of THEIR sale proceeds that we intercepted as well as our transaction fee—to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

WoW... So by your own admission you decided to leave duped gold in the economy instead of a 6 hour rollback.

How about not trying to be sneaky next time when trying to change the worth of gold. It's your own fault!

Great work! Although I previously believed that a full rollback was necessary to fix this issue, it seems that you guys are working hard to completely ratify the problem. Thanks again.

Thanks for the post on this. I know you're leaving a lot out (for privacy reasons, among others), but it's really great to see a thoughtful, lengthy response - including the apology. I'm sure you've all been at this for many, many hours - hopefully you'll all have a restful weekend.

Did they change 1 mil to 10 mil per .25 to counter third party gold sites so that people would buy from AH instead? was that their intention?

So those buying and selling gems as well as those that sold garbage for hugely inflated prices get to keep the gold because they didn't directly exploit the system? Need clarification on this point please....

Thankyou Blizzard for directly targeting all of those idiots (415 of them) who don't have a sense of fair play and leaving the rest of us alone.

And thankyou to all of your employees who most likely did some serious overtime shifts to get the GAH/RMAH up and going again.
