WW Breakpoint for Skorn users?

Ever since I first started playing barb I went with the DW WW build. But I just recently incorporated HOTA into my build and switched to skorn. So far I'm loving it and my breakpoints are high enough to be effective.

But was just curious as a general rule of thumb.. What should a skorn user with WW/RLTW be aiming for for breakpoints?

Looked on D3rawr and it looks like I'm 1% away from the next bp, but I don't really know how to adjust all the settings in there to have it show me what I'm really looking for.

Any help appreciated,
Thanks!

Alright you're sitting at 33% ias from gear (1.58 aps with WotB), the 2 major breakpoints around you are 1.54 or 1.67 aps with WotB popped. You can either drop 4% ias or grab another 9% ias to hit the next breakpoint.

The breakpoints apply for all weapons.

Here´s a little helpful table I made when I was figuring out how I´ll gear with a Skorn:

SKORN 17 ticks 18 ticks 20 ticks
1.00 aps +42%(5) +57%(7) +76%(9)
1.03 aps +37%(5) +52%(6) +70%(8)
1.05 aps +34%(4) +49%(6) +66%(8)
1.06 aps +33%(4) +47%(6) +64%(8)
1.07 aps +31%(4) +45%(5) +62%(7)
1.08 aps +30%(4) +44%(5) +61%(7)
1.09 aps +28%(4) +42%(5) +59%(7)
1.10 aps +27%(3) +41%(5) +57%(7)
1.11 aps +26%(3) +39%(5) +56%(7)
1.12 aps +24%(3) +38%(5) +54%(6)
1.13 aps +23%(3) +36%(4) +52%(6)
1.14 aps +22%(3) +35%(4) +51%(6)

The % values tell you the minimum IAS on gear to hit the next breakpoint (WotB bonus is added on top of it). Values in parenthesis tell you how many gear slots with IAS you need. With high enough crit chance and solid fury management, 17 is doable, even if you run a no generator build. For a Skorn user, it´s really only either 17 or 18 ticks, 20 requires too many IAS slots and an IAS Skorn itself.

Awesome!

That's exactly what I needed, thank you!

I was wondering as well, since i made the switch. Thanks for the table, but what is the bare minimum crit chance requirement on gear; with over power - killing spree and without.

lets assume we all use wep master and MH axe/mace and ruthless.

thanks again

Just trying to figure this out. From what I see WotB increases attk speed 25%

If he has 33% ias from gear, that puts him at 1.33 plus the 25% (1.33 x 1.25) = 1.66, but you said hes at 1.58. Where am i doing this wrong?

Ias from skills and gear pools together, then gets multiplied by the weapons aps. And that gives you the number you add to the weapons aps to get the total.

(Total ias from gear/skills) × X (where "X" is the weapons aps) + X=total aps
In this case it is (33% + 25%)×1= .58 <~~~~ amount you add to the weapons aps (1).

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Baron-1545/hero/948780 <- kills white mobs on weeping hollow MP10 just fine, for around 100mi XP/hour (would be, with a radiant star on helm. 97mi/hour without).

I'm running since I had less than 200k DPS and less than 16 ticks (34 IAS, no skorn). It's possible, but not recommended.

I don't like to use builds without a fury generator. Unbuffed stats (with ruthless, weapon master and without dodge are).

DPS: 216k (200k works for white mobs)
CC: 57,5% (because I don't use OP. 47,5%-50% works if you use OP)
IAS: 43% (I like to have an extra 1% IAS for non-wrath bp, but not sure on that)
LS: 2.9% (IK belt)
EHP: 828k
Life: 52,7k (don't go under 50k)
AR: 530 (don't go under 500)
Armor: 5798 (don't go under 5500)

EDIT: Buffed TDPS: 1712325 (with Brawler, WotB, Battle Rage and Scoundrel)

I like to run on weeping hollow since, imo, it's the place with easier mobs around. You still can get around 100mi exp/hour and 4 legendaries/hour, which isn't stellar, but it's ok for budget gear.

I have an 9 IAS Skorn and I lose DPS and EHP (the non-ias has almost 550 str) if I swap, but I gain 1 extra tick. I change Skorns once in a while, but I can live with both. (That means you can permawrath with or without overpower, at 17 or 18 ticks)

Imo, 42-43% ias and 9 IAS skorn is the way to go, since it is cheaper and it makes the transiction for LS Skorn easier (you just move a breakpoint). I wouldn't gear a barb for 17 ticks using an IAS Skorn, just in case.

Is this information still accurate?

D3up shows me as 1.575 aps with enchantress, and +53% attack speed. My Skorn is 1.0. Does this put me only at the following breakpoint, or am I reading this wrong?

1.00 aps +42%(5) +57%(7) +76%(9)
