I have been searching the Auction House for around 6 months for an elusive item.
I'm hoping this post will end my quest...
850+ life on hit
paying 75-100 million gold depending on quality

all windforces have lifesteal, and ls is infinitely better then loh, they only have 1 free roll, an os would better suit you imo for regen cause higher crits = higher ls sustain, while loh is well, just limited....

Out of curiosity, why would you prefer LoH over an open socket or critical damage?
First, thank you for the good question. For my build, I have focused on obtaining average damage and attack speed on gear with the remaining properties enhancing defenses. This is because a large proportion of the damage output is coming from skills that do not critically hit (Caltrops, Sentry), but still collectively accumulate quite a potency. This allows me to pickup more life regeneration, armor, loh, and hopefully resists, ideally if I can find items close to this miracle item combo that noone keeps or finds (my right hand ring) :) Another reason is, with this setup at any given time more than 18 damaging items are being applied to the monters or players, spike traps(6), sentries(3), caltrops(5), grenades(3), marked for death(12%spread). All skills are continually utilized and evasive fire(hardened) is peppered in for a buff every 3 seconds or so. With the resilience, and life recovery focus in general, Archetype can remain stationary or make small moves and pump a continual stream of damage on a consistent basis even when frozen. So with that basic summary, the other reason is of course PVP mechanics and budget. With only 500 million, A socketed windforce with 1380+ dps and 3% LS would be needed to even dent the lost life on hit utility for me in PVM due to currently excellent cluster grenade proccing and in PVP entangling shot's shock collar rune. Also lets be honest that would be worth billions and would leave no budget for armor modifications. It is worth mentioning however, that I do obtain a significant amount of life steal from the stacked caltrops as their damage returns life through these means, and a very high damaging marquise windforce would be very conducive to this end and may make the difference, but again budget :) I designed this character with the Diablo 2 approach in mind where I played assassins only and always appreciated a unique approach to skill design and gear. The assassin's strength was that they could deviate from the cookie cutter and remain viable. In Diablo 3 I noticed that critical chance dominated the focus of many players and heavy burst glassy builds are a favorite. This trend immediately reinforced my plans for a unique setup, and of course the gear is naturally more affordable. This character plays and feels almost exactly like the trap assassin even down to mind blast, which with cluster grenades and high knockback is almost a mirror image skill. There are other dynamics at work with Archetype, if you or anyone wants more info or wants to play with me send a request.
Thanks for your time in reading this, and here are some old videos I made from my PVP days on D2 if you are feeling nostalgic.
