Diablo® III

Diablo books in order.

I was wondering. I just bought The Order on Audible. Is there going to be a chance to catch all of the older books on Audible as well? I would love to delve deeper into the lore of this game as I do with all Blizzard games. Idk how that works but It would be nice.

Hi is there a diablo 3 bible?

that has these things in it

"A dying crusader emerged from the Aranoch wastes bearing these spaulders. She claimed to have been visited by the angel Yaerius in the desert depths and charged with delivering these artifacts into the hands of men so the crusade might triumph. Whatever the truth of her claims, there is little doubt the spaulders are the product of Heaven's forges." —Abd al-Hazir

I love the Diablo lore. I think it's one of my favorite fantasy settings. I like the visual style, the setting, it's just awesome.

I really want to see a Zoltan Kulle novel. He was one of my favorite characters in D3. We could see his fall from a powerful, noble Horadrim to the mad mage he became before his death. Arthas: Rise of the Lich King was good and I think something similar could be done here. Bring back Christie Golden!

Actually, a number of villain books would be awesome. Adria's journals in Act V were really interesting and it would be neat to see how she fell into Diablo's hands. My wife really wants to know what could have driven Maghda to become the demon-worshipping monster she was.

Leoric would be cool (though I'm not sure how good a main character he'd be. Kings aren't exactly relatable). Something set during his fall, or maybe with someone in his courts as a main character.

Any other villains anybody else would like to see explored?

I don't know about VILLAINS, per se, but I want to read a book about the assassin class from diablo 2.

hah I am doing a re-read of the diablo books myself... just about done reading legacy of blood. haven't read them since they were released.
i love all the blizzard novels, i have all of them for warcraft, starcraft, and diablo except for the newer books made after 2006 or so. i remember the first warcraft book made me go out and buy a copy of warcraft 2 battle chest, this was a few months before warcraft 3 was released.

If you're interested in diving into books surrounding the world of Diablo, you have a lot of really interesting reading material ahead of you!

I'd suggest you start with Diablo III: Book of Cain as a foundation (if you don't mind spoilers), and from there, dig into the rest in this roughly chronological order:

  • The Diablo story starts off with the Sin War Trilogy; Birthright, Scales of the Serpent, and The Veiled Prophet. These books give you a glimpse into the Sin War from nearly 3000 years ago.
  • Legacy of Blood takes place just before the events of Diablo II, and would be next in line for consumption. The novel The Black Road and the comic Tales of Sanctuary take place near this time as well.
  • The Kingdom of Shadow, then Moon of the Spider both take place after the events of Diablo II.
  • Next you'd have the novel The Order, and the comic Sword of Justice, which take place in the years between Diablo II and Diablo III.
  • Finally, the stories in Diablo III: Heroes Rise, Darkness Falls, take place shortly before the events of Diablo III, and are another great read.

  • After you're done with all of those, you also have Diablo III: Book of Tyrael to look forward to in October, as well as Diablo III: Storm of Light in 2014.

Additionally, you can check out Demonsbane, which is an exciting adventure story written in the early days of Diablo, before the Diablo II and Diablo III storylines had been clearly developed. It's one of the stories included in the Diablo Archives and I definitely recommend checking it out.

I hope that answers your question, and make sure to let us know what you think of the Diablo books and comics you read!

I've read most of these! I Love the Diablo story and all the stories of Blizzard games!

    Make Movies!

Be careful what you wish for. Next thing you know we're given a mass of random explosions by Michael Bay or, God forbid, M.Night Shyamalan get's his hands on this series. *shudder*

When will Diablo III: Heroes Rise, Darkness Falls come out in print. I like actual books, not e-books.

I have same question in my head. I prefer to read from actual book and like to collect them.
