Diablo® III

What do you guys think of the skorn?

When I run a Skorn it gives me like 15k more damage, is it worth running? I know that if you have an amazing build it is better to run two one handers, but my dps with my two one handers is only 177k and with the skorn it's like 190ish k. What are the advantages and disadvantages to running the skorn and is it a viable option to run on the higher mp levels such as 8 and up?

it's viable at all MP levels
I'll defer your remaining questions to other top monks out there who skorn.

That's a pretty nice skorn though.
Guardian's Path is a passive that can help you with spirit regen.

It's all about playstyle, 2 handers are slower but bigger hits!

i love it. cheaper than purchasing 2 weapons, and you can really get your spirit regen going for bells builds.

here's my latest vid of my crap gear on mp10 beatin some vota down no deaths.

i <3 my skorn. havent used anything else in months!

PS I run mp10 pretty smoothly without theneed for OWE and serenity.

As long as you have a build you helps you regen your spirit quickly its great for hard hitting bells.

I don't like Skorns or 2H builds at all. Too slow for me. I look down at 2H weapons like Skorns on Monks. If squint my eyes, I can manage to look down at Anger Gore, too.

I suppose two-handers can be good if you're into being as efficient and effective at maximizing farming or something like that. Or you like moving as fast as possible or gaining spirit at the fastest rate. Or having rather high DPS. Other than that, I don't really see the point.

I'm with Tarzan. I have used skorn for months. Its very versitile and no issues mp10. Only downsides I've noticed are less consistant life steal (jumpy but large numbers due to attack speed) and having less flexibility with passives. I miss NDE. I will note that if I don't use TR for movement I get along without spirit regen items just fine.

Offers a slow attack-hard hitting playstle option that isn't very far from dual 1h builds in terms of effectiveness. So it's personal preference as the game is intended to be....and actual choice that doesn't cut your dps/farming speed in half.
