Phishing username/password attempt

Ya it's started again.

Basically this guy PM people on gen chat that they have unknown plug-in and hoping they will go to the listed website, which is not belong to Blizzard's nor Bnet's, and enter their username and password.

I just hate if this http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/6794640553#1 happens to anybody again out there.

Anyway, by Blizz's rules, looks like this thread itself will get deleted, so yeah, if u read this, just be careful.

Best advice to give anyone any time is if something/someone says you need to verify your account, type in Blizzard's website yourself. NEVER open a website given by anyone, including Blizzard staff.

Your best bet is to report him ingame as the account will be looked into. Otherwise you can email hacks@blizzard.com

It's a pretty poor attempt at phishing but sadly people do fall for it.

Thank you all, I've made sure to forward this along to our investigative team who can be reached through that inbox. On a side note for those who have not done so already, we encourage you to look into getting the authenticator and SMS Protect set up. Both will greatly help prevent the chance of any compromise to your account's security.
