help me, every day i play this time

for some reason from this time, I play i see constant yellow bar it's like 400~500 and sometimes 1k,

and next day in the morning the latency become fine which is about 200.

i really feel i wanna play d3 in the morning, and then

after some work, i get frustration

this is first time i post this here, so im not quite aware of what i show you.

some tracet things,, I'm not sure how to get that, but plz look at this, and help me out,, ill try.

I don't know if this is the case for you, but some ISPs (Internet Service Providers) implement "Throttling" to their subscribers in which they somewhat limit the bandwidth they give you during the day, then returns your connection to normal during the twilight hours (after midnight and early morning). Their rationale is because their network can't handle the huge traffic during the day hence they limit each and everyone of you. "Throttling" sometimes cause packet loss hence increasing your latency (makes you lag) in online games.

Years ago, I have had the same problem and I was also forced to play during the morning and I didn't like it. I had to quit any online MMORPG until I switched to another ISP.

If I may suggest, investigate your ISP if they do such "throttling". Call them, Ask them, Complain. Goodluck! :)

2. Firewall >> virus chaser (im living in dormitory, its mandatory i should use this, instead i deleted all other firewalls to prevent possible crash between firewalls)

4. i do not know, becoz, im living in dormitory, so, Router is somewher in other place than my room. but when i was playing diablo 3 home month ago, same constant yellow ping problem kept occuring, i'm not sure what brand that name but it was provided by KT Korean internet provider.
5. i dont konw which im using but i think im using Cable.
6. ISP >> not sure about this but when i play diablo 3 in my home, it was KT

8. im gonna post this as soon as i encountered with this constant ping problem. i think it might happen soon.

btw, i read this related problem post in korean diablo 3 forum quite often, it seems this problem i'm expriencing is not only my problem, i think those who play diablo 3 in US server from Korea have same ping problem, i know American diablo 3 server is far from Korea. Actually ping is really great when i play this game in Asia server, it is from 20~30 ping, which is never better, but 200 ping which i should expect when i play in US server is also fine by me, and i've been playing in US server for quite long time.

I'm not sure if this problem stems from my computer status. I assume recently blizzard US server became no good to this region, This is just my assumtion tho,

yo know, this constant ping tendency start to take more and more time in a day, and i waited for bliz to fix this problem, whenever i read they do some maintence server down, i hoped they do something, and this problem become worse and worse,
im not sure if i should start diablo 3 game in asia server from zero with no one i know.

1. Let's make sure that the ports that Diablo 3 uses are allowed in your software firewall.

Here's a support article with the port information that you'll need: Firewall, Proxy, Router and Port Configuration

2. Your network card driver is a couple of years old. Let's get that up to date.

3. Because you are in a dormitory that is using a shared connection, there is a good chance that the network's firewall is blocking some of the ports that Diablo 3 uses. 4. Try to post the trace route that was requested, since that may give us more information as to where the issue might be originating.

D3 is running horrible tonight for many players complaining about lag, lag spikes,freezing, and rubber banding. At least 25 players have posted tonight that the game is just about totally unplayable tonight.

I'm sure your attempt to help is appreciated,as always, but it's time Blizzard manned-up and quit pointing the finger elsewhere. Despite 16 hours of maintenance there is something very wrong inside Blizzard's network and/or servers. Take a look at the threads on the general Forum complaining about these issues.

For many, including myself, the game is simply unplayable tonight.

According to my ISP blizzard and the ISPs have been pointing the finger at each other for years.

I've done about 20 traceroutes tonight and they show nothing unusual in the hops leading into Blizzard's firewall. The Blizzard leased ATT lines as usual show 8 times the latency of my ISP's lines with the usually occasional lag spikes on the att lines. This is typical even when the game is running ok

Dankorii, i just did 1, 2 you requested, like updated, and firewall things,, but asking dorm admin,, im not gonna do that until i feel its really unavoidable to encounter and ask those ppl concernded

strangly after i posted this, i didnt have chance to notice constant lag,, as it's been 180~200 so far, so it seems pointless now to do traceroute things, atm, but as soon as i notice this really-long-constant lag pheomanon, im gonna post new thread..

suddenly i got 300 ping which is yellow bar, so i just record this period,

but this time,, my fren just join, he's from malaysia,, and he said,, he experiencing huge lag,, which is at maximum 1600 ping,, it seems this guy caused this problem for a short time,, but after he left and rejoin,, and my ping became to normal even with my fren framing with me

not sure if this help you find out what is the problem,, still my assume is bliz own problem.

Thanks for posting those tracerts. It looks like the connection latency goes up when it starts communicating with the Sprint servers in line 12. This is expected since the connection is going from Korea to US. Then, in line 15, the connection latency goes up even more. The server located at line 15 is not one of our servers. This is a peering partner server that your ISP is using to get to us. Ideally, you would want to contact your ISP, let them know about the issue, and they would hopefully report it to their peering partner.

I'll let our admins know, just in case there is someone they can contact over at Sprint, but I can't say for sure that there will be.

It might also help to run a pathping when you are experiencing the high latency. A pathping is a little more detailed than a tracert, so it may give us more useful information.

Here's a support article that will help with that: Running A Pathping Test

Once you have the pathping, go ahead and post it into your next reply.

***The pathping report is two parts. Once you get to where it says, "Computing statistics for X amount of seconds, you will want to wait about 10 minutes before the second part of the report is complete.***

Pathpings and tracerts always help. They let Blizzard look for patterns in various regions of the world or with certain ISPs. While they can't fix something that is an ISPs issue, they can sometimes help bring it to the attention of those higher up in the ISP.

You will want to talk to your ISP about the packet loss going on starting at hop 4. Note that there is 4% packet loss between hop 4 and 5
6% packet loss at hop 6
4% packet loss at hop 7 and 96% loss between hop 7 and 8

The rest after hop 8 looks normal based on the Blizzard server security settings. Having packet loss along the path can certainly cause disconnects and lag spikes.

here's tracert right after doing pathping, but while i recording this, barb became green and all became good. but i'd say,, its not that long constant yellow bar compared to when i experienced worse one,, yo know when i posted this thread first time, man that time the period really worst it was like from 3PM~ 11PM somethin like that,, i understand sometimes lag spikes happen, its online game and all fine,, but it was like everday and for couple weeks,, certain period of time,, you have that yellow bar problem,,for 6~8hours if you dont post this,, you are saint,

btw since i post this thread,, it's been really smooth ping relatively, but i just record those kinds, which might help prevent that nightmare ping experience again.

Thanks for posting those tracerts. It looks like the connection latency goes up when it starts communicating with the Sprint servers in line 12. This is expected since the connection is going from Korea to US. Then, in line 15, the connection latency goes up even more. The server located at line 15 is not one of our servers. This is a peering partner server that your ISP is using to get to us. Ideally, you would want to contact your ISP, let them know about the issue, and they would hopefully report it to their peering partner.

I'll let our admins know, just in case there is someone they can contact over at Sprint, but I can't say for sure that there will be.

im telling you this lag problem won't end untill i sleep, only playable 'moments' are morning, couple of hours, after that, i see yellow and now even red bar keep occuring, as if they saying to me, now its time to kill you
man you gotta help me, its worst and logest lag ever, i already called internet provider and they said, if i have same problem when i use other internet service like internet browsing, they'll send someone, so they won't coz im having this problem only when i play this game, i really dont know if you guys want me to play this game or not, i did what you ask me to do as protocol like updating etc, and now im having baddest ever lag, and, i wonder blizzard is doing their best in this problem, no matter what new contents coming,, its no use, if i have this problem,, i need really productive answer man, plz, you gotta do something about this,
