hi i have a question about aps.
i read that recently, and i was really in shock
in that topic, aps 1.66667 ~ aps 2.00000 have same ticks per sec.
and assume that i use Hungering Arrow.
tick frame length = floor (60 / aps)
ticks per second = (60 / frame length)
is that expression right?
if right, it's calculated that aps 2.00 and 1.94 has same tick!
floor(60/2)=30 (when aps is 2.00)
floor(60/1.94) = 30 (when aps is 1.94)
and it means i dont need to upgrade my items to increase aps from 1.94 to 2.00.
is that right???
i dont need to upgrade my items to increase aps from 1.94 to 2.00.
1.9355 aps up to 2.00000 are identical
(generating an arrow every 30 frames)
not true, it is not linear. It is in fact asymptotic, with an upper bound ceiling @60/sec (a shot every frame)
Game routine operation runs 60 tics per second, so the simulation is incapable of operating at an interval smaller than .01666 of a second. it cannot truly be linear
