Diablo® III

The New Paragon System

First off, I'd like to say it looks really cool to me, I'd just like to clarify some things.

If the new paragon bonuses will be shared:

Does this mean if I have 5 paragon lvl 20 characters I will have 100 paragon levels to spend on stats?

Will we be able to save our paragon stat distribution to individual characters?
Obviously I'd want different points allocated for my Witch Doctor than that of my Crusader.

Did I hear in the announcement correctly that paragon has no cap? aka infinite paragon levels?
Does this mean if I put in enough time leveling...and I put points into movement speed...that my Barbarian will surpass the speed of light? And what are the system requirements for that kind of framerate?

The XP is shared. So 5 level 20 characters would result in an overall level of 40 maybe (take a look at any XP/PLevel sheet).

You no longer gain levels individually, exp is now tallied on your account..

If you have enough exp to lets say "unlock" the point where you are granted "20 paragon points", you will now have those to spend on any character you have on your account, and each character gets 20 points to spend.

each attribute you can put points into apparently has a cap, so there is a combat effectiveness cap to paragon.

Can you provide a link that says XP is shared?

Here is an analysis of Paragon 2.0:

I'm very sure that, if you spend the time and watch the 30 minute presentation that they announced Reaper of Souls in and where they went through the powerpoint, they explain some of the Paragon changes, including that it is account wide.

Further more with the info we can get from looking at the screens it looks like caps on certain stats can be expected so I would assume with the movement thing I can see us being trapped to the 25% cap still. otherwise 100% critical strike chance would be obtainable be it really really hard but still would be.
