I was just looking at Razer's software peripherals and noticed that "Razer Surround" was currently available free of charge until the end of the year. More importantly, they are allowing donations in place of the $20 it usually costs, with the money raised going to the Child's Play charity.

I am not particularly familiar with the software (though the demo sounded awesome), but I do love the idea of Child's Play. Basically they give games and toys to children suffering from terminal illnesses or otherwise subjected to long hospital stays. This includes gaming consoles, games, and peripherals. I can't really think of a better way to alleviate the kind of boredom that being stuck in the hospital must cause.

As far as "Razer Surround", it provides virtual surround through any stereo headphones and allows you to customize your sound environment for your personal tastes. I'm not sure how it compares to other such software, but it is currently free and they are taking donations for Child's Play.

I didn't see anything about this on the forums when I searched, so here's hoping that some people see this and can spare a bit for a good cause.
