Legacy Games and Battle.net
We still run the original pages for our legacy Battle.net titles and their communities, and you can still play these games online via the classic Battle.net service. If you play Warcraft III, StarCraft, or Diablo II, the introduction of the new Battle.net will not change how you play.
To connect to Battle.net with one of our legacy games, you will need a Classic Battle.net account, which is different from your regular Battle.net account. If you don’t already have a Classic account, you will be prompted to create one the first time you try to connect to Battle.net via one of the legacy games. Once you have created your account, you will be able to log in and play the games’ online multiplayer modes. Please note that since Classic accounts are different from regular Battle.net accounts, none of the new Battle.net features will be available in legacy games. If you need help or want to talk about the game with your fellow players, make sure to visit the legacy games’ websites and forums; use the links to the right to find your game’s community site and official discussion forum.
