Jul 23, 2012 Lag problem: re-logging used to fix; not now. I play on the Asian servers. While I'm glad to see Blizzard has made them a lot more stable and reliable, I've still been having some problems which may be related to my computer, maybe not. Anyway, when I log in, the lag bar-thingy is frequently red. When I perform an action, there is usually a short delay. Typically, quitting the game and restarting, or even exiting the game and starting again would, after several attempts result in the game running well for the duration of my playing session, with only a few occasional lag spikes. This was actually pretty irritating, as I couldn't simply sit down, fire up the game, and start playing; rather I would have to start the game, wait for it to load, see that it doesn't work well, quit playing, start again, quit again, start again, rinse, repeat, until I ended up with a green bar (which, I should stress WOULD LAST THE REST OF THE SESSIONS -- an hour or so). Today though, I've tried the game at multiple times of day, and I always end up with everything I do taking place a half second after I input the command. If someone has some idea about what is going on and how to fix it, I would appreciate it. I have enclosed a small sample of my DX diag. Jul 23, 2012 EU - AH error 31073 As there is no, to very little response on the EU forum (both tech support and general can take hours, 100 of posts and in some cases days for someone to reply), im forced to reply here. The AH's are not functioning right and if not fixed right away its going to drive up prices to insane levels again like last time when it was not working at all for a full 2 days before blues even looked at the threads and problem. As by some strange miracle (or perhaps exploit) some people can, for example, place essences on the gold AH when nobody else can, they place it for 1m a piece, hoping the buyer will think they get the difference back in their completed tab, only to discover they paid full price.AngryBear2 Jul 23, 2012

Jul 23, 2012 My game now only launches when I............. Press play while the launcher is updating/finishes updating, but the launcher does not close for the diablo logo to open, so I.....: Terminate the "Agent.exe" process in task manager while the launcher is open.... And then the Diablo III logo appears and now I can play the game.....wow This was what I did when I reinstalled the game using a separate Programdata/battle.net file that was downloaded from gamefront which had a /setupdiablo3_enus folder (apparently I could not install the game without it) and the launcher gets stuck after I pressed play So what do you guys think? Should i ask for a new battle.net folder or a diablo 3 launcher file from you guys so that i don't have to do this everytime I open the game? UPDATE: I used a method that dDub suggested in this thread. Thanks to it, my launcher's currently back to normal. Here's a quick link: http://us.battle.net/d3/en-us/forum/topic/6079608466#10 (Or you can just scroll down to his post)Funkerbuster11 Jul 23, 2012
Jul 23, 2012 Game stuttering and FPS drops. Why? I recently bought a new computer (old one was 2 years old) and have noticed I cant run this game at max settings @ 1920x1080. This is weird seeing as I can run battlefield 3 at medium at 60 FPS +, 1920x1080 This is not at all a graphically intensive game and I want answers for this unoptimized piece of crap you call Diablo 3, By no means my computer is the best but I'm sure it should be able to run this game. PC SPECS: Core i5 3550k Radeon 7850 Sapphire twin fan 16gb G.skill 2133 Mhz ram ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 mobo 750w PSU I think those specs should cover D3..... Explain this. And dont give me crap about faulty parts.JimmyB0 Jul 23, 2012
Jul 23, 2012 Arbitrarily banned - Want refund After about two months of playing diablo 3, Blizzard has arbitrarily decided to ban me for reasons they refuse to explain. Assuming this was some sort of misunderstanding, I submitted a ticket to get this all sorted out. Without explaining what I allegedly did to earn a ban, Blizzard simply assured me that the matter was "thoroughly investigated" and that the decision would not be reversed. Blizzard, this is theft. I paid for a game, that you have arbitrarily decided I can no longer play. You claim that I violated the Terms of Use, but refuse to provide any evidence or any details regarding your allegations. This is an outrage... Either, restore my access to the game, or prove that I violated the Terms of Use, or give me a full refund.DrDrew461 Jul 23, 2012

Jul 23, 2012 mac signs in, w7 Error 3003? I have an aluminum body macbook 2008 with the 9400m gfx chip and a solid 2.4ghz dual core. when i play diablo 3 on mac os x lion side, I can log in successfully and it will run smoothly with a few studders here and there on minimum settings on minimum resolution. Unacceptable (for me at least). So, i boot up to good ol' trusty windows 7 through bootcamp, downloaded and installed the game. Ran it, and got a HUGEE performance boost from just being on the main log in menu. Problem is, I can't !@#$in sign in!!? The dreaded error code 3003.. I just don't get it. I have disabled all firewalls + my only antivirus (nod32), uninstalled and reinstalled, still no luck. I've tryed disconnecting, reconnecting my wifi, flushing the DNS. the only other thing I can think of is port fowarding and I cant because its my roommates router and i don't have access quite yet, but that shouldn't even be an issue if I can access my account through OS X lion with the same IP and everything! I don't understand problem here...help me blizzard! I'm a upset, long-time customer here..PassAfire1 Jul 23, 2012
Jul 23, 2012 Error 14009 / 315300 again, post patch 1.02 Sup. I had this 14009/315300 error previously at launch and I was unable to play for 4 days. It was fixed finally by obtaining a Cache folder from a friend. THIS TIME, however, the errors have reared their ugly heads once again, but nothing works this time around. Things I have tried: (Vista 32) All steps have been tried both running as administrator and not 1. Normal Login (error 14009) 2. Rename that cache folder in the programdata; attempt login (error 315003) 3. Change password; attempt login (error 315003) 4. Create a new administrative account; attempt login (error 315003) 5. Delete that one folder in the programdata completely; attempt login (error 315003) 6. Restart PC; attempt login (error 315003) 7. Re-install completely; attempt login (error 14009) 8. Repeat (315003) 9. Delete the battle.net folder in programdata; attempt login (315003) 10. Run in selective mode and disable start-up programs --> reboot; attempt login (315003) 11. Search AGENT file and logs D3Debug for a 'non-requested uri' or '404' (not found) 12. Obtain a cache folder from another user (315003). 13. Attempt to log in to a friend's account from my computer (315003). The only other thing I haven't tried, because I wasn't able to; I had complications when installing patch 1.02, and I was wondering if there is a way to uninstall just that patch so that I can attempt a clean download. Or does it have nothing to do with that? ~JPJPonry22 Jul 23, 2012

Jul 23, 2012 Getting sick of this nonsense I've been playing on and off since launch, and for the last few weeks I'm lucky to get the blasted launcher to work. I can usually open task manager and end process on agent.exe to get d3 to load but now that won't even work. I'm sure I'm only a part of the over-played broken-record here, but I think I'm done with this game for a while...at least until you guys can get a handle on this buggy DRM nonsense you've created here.ToEleven2 Jul 23, 2012

Jul 23, 2012 Launcher does not register clicks Hi all, The actual game runs fine on my system, but I have consistently encountered an issue with the launcher. After it updates and the "play" button is clickable, I can't actually click the button and have it register. Usually I can click off the launcher screen and then hit the play button, and it will then launch the game. Sometimes it takes multiple tries before the button (even after the graphic depresses) will do anything. I can also click and open links to the forums from the launcher and the menu items ("options", "help", etc.) highlight, but clicking them does nothing. I'm running Windows 7 x64, let me know if other specs are relevant. Thanks in advanceWHRRGARBL0 Jul 23, 2012

Jul 23, 2012 Latency freeze Hi, I'm having a problem which reoccurs from time to time - it's a latency freeze lag. I have no latency issues, but when this happens (usually after 3-5 minutes of playing) you can walk around but the game is lagged like with huge latency, everything is stuck and you can't exit the game nor exit diablo 3 (the menu buttons are stuck). Needed to end task Diablo 3 many times today. This happens in periods, during the past week didn't have any problems. Any one experiencing the same problem? I'm using Macbook pro '13 2011.Alpha5 Jul 23, 2012

Jul 22, 2012 Is using Wine/PlayOnLinux legal? I am seeing rumors about accounts getting banned for playing Diablo 3 in linux with the help of the Wine environment and PlayOnLinux configuration. http://www.playonlinux.com/en/commentaires-1068.html shows reports of accounts getting banned and Blizzard refusing to reverse the decision. Players claim they did nothing illegal or made any modifications to the game, just used the above stated tools to launch the game in a linux environment. Could I get some official blue text explaining one way or the other if this is acceptable by Blizzard or not? I did not see anything in the ToS that seems to make this wrong. ToS mainly refers to altering the game itself. Also I'm sure this has been brought up a thousand time before but it would be great if you guys compiled the client and launcher in linux sometime in the future as distributions are coming out that are fairly straightforward to use and better yet are free.Mascondante2 Jul 22, 2012
Jul 22, 2012 Launcher has stopped working! So i have collectors edition and everything was working perfectly fine until today i start the launcher and it says blizzard launcher and installer has stopped working then basically the only choice i have is to close. well i tried to uninstall to reinstall and now even the disc launcher wont even work! i also tried submitting a ticket about this and it says an error has occurred file you sent exceeded size limit when all i did was send what they wanted MSInfo and Dxdiag! so anyways any help would be appreciated as i'm kinda pissed.Commander11 Jul 22, 2012

Jul 22, 2012 Hard drive hangs on load screens In any game I play, be it WoW, D3, SC2, Battlefield 3, or Skyrim, if I've been playing long enough, it won't get past any loading screen. While this is happening, the hard drive activity light will either be completely blank (not even those intermittent idle blinks), or it will be constantly on, but no noise coming from the hard drive. It even happens sometimes when I'm not playing a game, but anything that is loaded into memory still functions. I can still view the web page I'm on, switch tabs, minimize, and everything, I just can't load anything new. The computer isn't frozen, but it never recovers from this unless I force reboot it. This inevitably happens with every hard drive I put into this computer, and it's really starting to get annoying. Here's a screenshot of my Speedfan temperatures http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/491/speedfane.png The hard drive temperature is a little high, but I've seen hard drives run hotter than that and operate just fine, so I don't think this should be a problem. Jul 22, 2012 FPS lag when in dungeon + mobs My girlfriend keeps getting FPS lags especially in dungeons with alot of mobs/coop with skill spamming effects. She is using Windows 7 64bit with the following: Intel E7400 2.8Ghz ATI Radeon 4870 4GB RAM 500W Silvestone Strider My question: what is actually bottlenecking/degrading the performance and resulting in the FPS lag. Is the PSU enough or the processor?Zenax5 Jul 22, 2012

Jul 22, 2012 Completely unplayable LAG. Before some idiot fanboi tries to say it's my internet connection or computer, I'm getting speedtest results to servers in California at over 40mpbs down and 10mbps up with a ping of under 40. I am also on an 8 core AMD at 4.5ghz with 16gb of ram. It's not my machine or connection. I have to load the game 3 times for my character to actually appear in-game. When I do finally get in I have to try 2 or 3 times to zone into the next area I need to get into. Once I'm finally there I die because nothing I do registers. (their hits to me seem to work just fine) It's been one issue after another. I'm SO happy I spent money on this crap. There is ZERO reason why a single-player game should be connecting to a server for everything.Moonkai48 Jul 22, 2012
Jul 22, 2012 Disconnected from Server 6 times in past hour The last few days I've been disconnected form Battle.net more than 20 times. The game is unplayable. Since the patch I can play for a max of 30-40 minutes but have gotten disconnected within 5 mins. My router firmware is up to date. My network drivers are up to date. Please help make the game fun/playable again.DJC10 Jul 22, 2012
Jul 22, 2012 Patch caused additional cpu strain. Prior to the patch my core cpu temperature would sit at an acceptable 60-70 degrees Celsius but since the patch 1.0.3 a) My setting were reset to max and now even with my old video settings the game causes my cpu temp to spike to 85-100 degrees Celsius. Jul 22, 2012 Dual hard drive set up I'm a little disappointed in the set up of diablo 3. I have dual hard drives. One I use specifically for OS and related utilities and one I use for my programs/games. When running the set up for the installer of WoW and Starcraft I could assign it to my desired hard drive. However, Diablo did not give me that option. I hope once it is installed I will be able to move it without too much hassle, but it could have easily been avoided with the simple feature to the installer.Nyxnightsong3 Jul 22, 2012
Jul 22, 2012 FPS Spikes Strikes Again. Hello there i hope Blizzard reply for this thread. i really like D3 i bought it like 2 weeks ago i was so happy to first log in but one thing really makes me sad about it. It's fps spikes in combat or moving my mouse in item/npc or something. I tried almost everything D3 Prefs,Setting all to low, Updating Graphic Cars,Game booster,CC cleaner, System care everything.. But the fps drops still remains. Can someone who fixed this help me? Or maybe Blizzard should reply this time. I want to play at the maximum, i can't.Opicaak450 Jul 22, 2012

Jul 22, 2012 rubberbanded 10 times in a row, multiple times in the past few days the rubber banding has been off the charts. desecrate especially. keep getting sucked back into it.. like 10 times.. click.. nope.. click.. nope.. why ami taking dmg? or.. im rubberbanding back intoa desecrate.. wonderful! oh those 2 arcane sentries? you were out of range? nope.. rubberband.. oh btw, my latency was 150 the entire time. obviously a server issue. it also proves that in-game ping does not include processing time.betatrash0 Jul 22, 2012

Jul 22, 2012 FPS Drops from Beta to Diablo 3 Hello everyone! So, when I played the Beta on max settings never got lag even in huge fights. Jul 22, 2012 Gold spammers ruining chat channel? -Solution Add a functionality in the game similar to the block communication function. This function would enable the user to block all messages from anyone in chat channels that contains a certain phrase. If this function was added to the game, players could then put in commonly used phrases or the gold spammers website(which always shows up in their messages) and we wouldn't have to be bothered with their non stop ridiculous spamming. Why your multibillion dollar company can't figure out a solution to a HUGE problem like this either means you ran out of out-of-the-box thinkers or you just don't care? Implement a change like this.... Or make the freaking chat box bigger so a spammer doesnt clear my whole chat, as they all do. This would obviously lower server data transfer, people non stop blocking people or adding people as spammers... put the filter control of the chat channel in our hands. Community please discuss. Appropriate responses would be: Blizzard, Do it NOW! Then, do you want a kick in the left nut or the right one???Sokon5 Jul 22, 2012
Jul 22, 2012 Hi, Banned for using the AH Hi, I was banned 2 days ago for using the AH, and that's all the email said. I know this would have happened after I bought something from RMAH. I made a ticket right after that asking for an explanation, and unbanning my account as I have done nothing wrong. It's been 2 days and no reply yet, and I mostly play only on weekends, and just check the AH and stuff during the weekdays. You know what f'ing pisses me off--> I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO GET BANNED. Honestly, I uploaded $40 to RMAH ages ago, and have made money and bought more stuff, and this time when I buy something, I get banned. This is !@#$ing ridiculous. Do you guys check for something before banning people? Also, I am sure that the item I bought is probably gone, so there goes one good deal. The items which I had in AH said is cancelled, which had decent amounts of bid already. So yeah, got screwed over for %^-*ing using RMAH.. So basically if I don't want to get banned should I be using third party sites or some bs. I hope I get a reply atleast within 72hours, But I highly doubt it. Come to think of it, I was looking at the past tickets I made while I played wow, and the response time was 30mins-2hour :/ I thought 48hours will be more then enough. Guess not.Vapourizer7 Jul 22, 2012
Jul 22, 2012 I am getting high latency ONLY on DIABLO 3!!! Why? How is it that I am getting lag/high latency on diablo 3 only? i can play ANY OTHER ONLINE GAME with ZERO lag and even browse perfectly. Yet this piece of garbage lags? how is it that they still havent fixed the latency problems?T0Die411 Jul 22, 2012
Jul 22, 2012 Always disconnect once This is an issue that only exists in diablo that i have been having. WoW and SC2 and any other action or game does not make this issue occur. In short everytime i log on the game its only a matter of time that i d/c in about 5-10 mins and its not just diablo its internet entirely on that computer is lost and comes back in about 30 seconds. After that everything is fine when i log back in and wont happen until after a computer restart.Warruz1 Jul 22, 2012
Jul 22, 2012 Banned On D3 For "Third Party Software" I have submitted a ticket, and got a cookie cutter response. I have been paying for and playing Blizzard games for almost 10 years and have never cheated before. I'm assuming it's because you're basically banning anyone who has been killing Sarkoth over and over again "farming him" instead of progressing to act 3 inferno and beyond... we just don't fit in anymore? How different is it for me to run Sarkoth over and over again (easy to access mob with a large loot table) than it is for me to have ran Pindleskin or Nihlathek over and over again on Diablo 2? I had a similar issue with D2 in this same sense, but it was the realm down message that we were all way too familiar with. What happened to you blizzard? You used to be a company that would discuss matters like this with your players and give them a fair chance to explain their selves. The response I got from your GM was basically "We reviewed something and sorry but you're still banned for third party..." THERE WAS NO THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE INVOLVED... It's just a spot that is easy to farm and very profitable. I'd like to see the logs of when I was "detected using third party software", because I believe that I'm just one of many who weren't playing Diablo 3 the way you WANT US TO PLAY. (Because you bought the game for ME right?) So consider this my goodbye, farewell, and peace out letter Blizz... you guys used to stand for something, but steadily you're becoming another faceless corporation. Thanks for the Nostalgia, cause that's about all I've gotten from you recently. -D.SDiabolus6 Jul 22, 2012
