Jun 13, 2012 Error 12 - Guest pass - Change region? Hey, So, I've got a guest pass from an American guy so I can see if I'm able to run Diablo 3. My computer can easily handle it, but I'm lagging like crazy. I'm a wizard, and 70% of the time I see his arm swing, and then 5 seconds later a spell being casted. This makes the game unplayable for me. Now I noticed that I'm by default playing on American server, so I thought, maybe this is causing the lag. I'm from the Netherlands myself in Europe, so that may cause some latency. So, I thought I'd try to change to European servers, but this resulted in me getting a error 12 report, saying that my account isn't licensed. I can change back to American servers, but then I still have the lag. I really want to see if playing on European servers changes anything.. Is there any way for me to change something so I can play on the European server? I'm not going to buy Diablo when there's a very big chance it won't run.. Also, if it's not possible, can someone tell me how much of a difference changing to the European server would make? Thanks a lot in advance.Thescorpi0n0 Jun 13, 2012

Jun 13, 2012 Battle.net SMS Protect Hi, I'm trying to set up SMS protect but I get this message: ... I'm from Quebec and my carrier is Videotron. And I know I can receive SMS... I keep pressing "Send code now" but it won't work I won't get any kind of message... Does anyone have an idea of it's normal?NyuNyu11 Jun 13, 2012
Jun 13, 2012 Wizard teleport casting "on its own" I was farming materials for the staff of herding, and I had teleport with wormhole. In acts 2, 3, and 4 (can't remember about it happening in act 1 or not) this bug would occur. I would teleport 4 times with wormhole, and a few seconds later after continuing on running I would get rubber banded back to the beginning of my initial teleport (as if I was lagging), and teleport would then self cast in the direction I casted before once. This would happen in the middle of the teleport cool down, and it would restart the cool down on teleport. This is all the information and specifics I can remember, if you need any more specific information I can try and provide it.alucryts0 Jun 13, 2012

Jun 13, 2012 High latency game(steps, results, conclusion) Just got the starter edition, playing in Malaysia (US server), got high latency (300ms-1300ms from in game reading), 4mbps wireless internet I have try the below: 1) Turning off windows 7 WLAN auto config. 2) Run TCP optimizer 3) Disable Nagel's algorithm 4) Run Battleping 5) Run IObit advanced system care 'game mode' boost 6) No web browsing or downloading when playing Results after the above six steps: 1) 400ms to 1300ms latency, but mostly at 400ms to 700ms latency at day 1 aka yesterday 9-11pm Malaysia time (GMT+8) --- Scenario --- Game character use skills- few seconds later damage and skill effect are shown both visually and mathematically, 'teleport' in game for my character and monsters (happen many times) 2) 300ms -500ms latency at day 2 aka today 7am Malaysia time (GMT+8), play for 20 minutes only to test, --- Scenario --- Game character use skills- few seconds later damage and skill effect are shown both visually and mathematically, 'teleport' in game for my character and monsters (less frequent than day 1 session) 3) 300ms-1300ms latency, mostly at 600ms-1300ms at day 2 aka today 8pm Malaysia time (GMT+8), got a small rain going on--- Scenario --- Game character use skills- few seconds later damage and skill effect are shown both visually and mathematically, 'teleport' in game for my character and monsters (occurring constantly) Questions that I want to ask: 1) Diablo 3 smooth game play only available with wired connection? 2) Is the problem I encountered above considered as input lag and rubber banding? 3) What can I do to improve the situation? 4) Does logging in ASIA servers (closer to my region) helps? Couldn't go Asian server because of patch loop. Conclusion: 1) Thanks Blizzard staffs for making this fun game. 2) Would not buy if game play is like what mentioned above, just not acceptable. 3) Latency is the PRIME EVIL.LLS4 Jun 13, 2012
Jun 13, 2012 Looking for help since sunday night lag spike Since this event the following occurs each time I try to play: My load in screens take 3-4 minutes, from pretty much insta change speed.... If I allow my downloader to get to status of up to date it will not allow me to play, it will tell me turn off your anti virus, or cannot find file... If i hit play prior to the bottem bar filling up, It will let me into the game 1 time, if i exit to auction house, change a game, anything other then play from where i left off, it will then not allow me back into game, again the loading process takes 2-4 minutes..... This all started when my computer locked down during the lag spikes of sunday night and I had to shut down computer and reset... Basically, I cannot play any other game other then progress from my main characters point, I cannot move in and out of games....and the delay in loading is terrible.... Any direction:)Kysenia1 Jun 13, 2012

Jun 13, 2012 Auction house does not work right When you click the button for buyout prices, it doesn't list the lowest buyout prices in order. Instead it says N/A. I'm not sure what the point of this is. I want to see the lowest buyout prices so that I can decide what to buy. Why would I want to see a whole listing of things for sale that have no buyout prices? This seriously needs to be fixed.Carnage1 Jun 13, 2012
Jun 13, 2012 Bad assumptions made in implementing the RMAH Ok, I've been looking into setting up Paypal, which I've never had need of before, so I can use the RMAH. I have no authenticator, and even if I did I don't wish to use Battle.net currency, so getting an authenticator would be pointless, except for matters of security, as it wouldn't enable me to use Paypal anyways. Now my problem is with the assumption you seem to have made that every person has a mobile phone. I do not, I have a landline and that's sufficient for my needs. Plus, I simply can't justify the expense for something I would never use. However, because I don't have a mobile phone, I can't attach the RMAH to a Paypal account because I can't receive this SMS Protect authentication code. I realize that these days actually having a mobile phone is the norm, but I'm sure there are still many others like me who don't have one. I also realize that security is a real issue regarding the RMAH, but could you not have come up with some other ways to provide that security, in addition to SMS Protect? Or are there perhaps already any other options available that aren't readily apparent in your FAQ?JakkFrost0 Jun 13, 2012
Jun 13, 2012 Problem downloading recent patch. Whenever i try to download the patch that released today, I get the corrupt file error message. I have already deleted a few times with no luck. The patch that released last week did the same thing to me, it took 5 days 3 uninstall & reinstall, and more times deleting the problem file then i could count. I would really like to avoid all that trouble again. If there is a quicker solution, besides downloading from some unknown third party site, i would love to hear it. Also will I have this trouble every single time you release a patch Blizz?Akolt13 Jun 13, 2012

Jun 13, 2012 Client does't display maintenance notices. Hi guys, I'm a user based on the Oceanic region and so far as I can tell (I don't want to speak for everyone here, only for the few people I personally know) we do not get the maintenance notifications in the game client upon launching it. I took a look at the proxy server and there seems to be two HTTP requests being lodged by the game client, for which I'm assuming they're based on having chosen our selected contry (in my case, Australia) when configuring our Battle.net accounts: 302 GET http://202.9.66.38/D3/enSG/alert 404 GET http://202.9.66.38/service/d3/alert/en-sg The HTTP response code is first, the request itself second. I'm assuming we're lumped in with the Singapore notification service despite being hosted on the US game server cluster as something of an oversight or the byproduct of having changed your minds about where we're being hosted, but regardless of the reason, is there some way we can get this addressed, please? Ideally, our game clients should be pointing to the same region for alerts as we're being hosted on for the game servers. Technically, the maintenance for both regions could be different, so it doesn't help us pointing to differing locations for information. Cheers, LainLain3 Jun 13, 2012
Jun 13, 2012 Forced to play with server side lag = fraud. Pings today of 1300-1600. It was only just playable before. It's now totally unplayable. Tracert shows ~200ms with no loss. Blizzard listen, the devs of console games don't come into my house and stop me from picking up their game whenever I choose to play it. It's always available and so it should be for the money I paid for it. I just do not comprehend your reticence to address the problem. You want me to lend you some money? What's that? You sold 7 million copies and you take a 15% cut of real money transactions, with an added $1 transaction fee for good measure? Am I missing something here? It's very fraudulent what you've done.RoninKepler1 Jun 13, 2012
Jun 13, 2012 Maintenance again? Hi Blizzard, I was wondering why you're stopping the service again today (in 8 minutes time) to pick up an update, and how long you expect the server to be down for, as there's no information about this on the service status page. Update please?ReiJin43 Jun 13, 2012

Jun 13, 2012 To Blizzard Maintainance Team If it's possible (even for an ounce for god sake) please do ANNOUNCE your maintenance (even if it's emergency), even at LEAST in your forums or the news page on Diablo 3™ updater? It's very unprofessional shutting down the game abruptly considering you're offering a game as a SERVICE. It you hold a high seat 'coz you're the one offering the service, think again, you're game will not be around if not for the player/fan base. You're making your reputation very dirty.ELDred5 Jun 13, 2012
Jun 13, 2012 Just issue refunds. You know what, just keep the servers down, you guys are an embarrassment to blizzard north. Jun 13, 2012 Game updated, but says still required update. Hey, so basically I load up D3 and it clearly shows it is up to date. http://i.imgur.com/TG58n.jpg Great! I login as I normally would and am greeted by this every time. http://i.imgur.com/b9GtY.jpg Well awesome.. So I click ok and it proceeds to open a launcher type box then produces this wonderful bundle of joy. http://i.imgur.com/5BUlj.jpg Now I have not found a way to repair but what I did try is to copy over my backed up copy of D3 from when it first came out, it does download a small patch and then I tried it again to get the exact same messages. Any productive input on this matter would be helpful or if this has already been noticed and there are fixes or such, pointing me in that direction would be great. Thanks :) EDIT: Tried to put a support ticket in... Yeah Blizzard doesn't believe in that, times out every time.DaZeke5 Jun 13, 2012
Jun 13, 2012 Maintainence and patches You people are bloody brilliant, yesterday servers were down for a patch, now today they are down for scheduled maintenance. Jun 13, 2012 Scheduled Maintenance - June 12 We are performing scheduled maintenance on Diablo III (6/12) in order to deploy patch 1.0.2c. We anticipate that maintenance will conclude and that all services will be available at approximately 11:00 a.m. PDT. Patch notes are available below. Important: Please note that you will not be prompted to download patch 1.0.2c until the patch is live in your home region. If you are logging in from a European or Asian client, you will need to wait for this patch to release in that region before it can be installed. Additionally, if your home region is the Americas, you will be unable to log into Europe or Asia using Global Play after patch 1.0.2c is live until those regions have also patched. For reference, here are the scheduled maintenance times for each region: The Americas: 5:00 a.m. PDT to 11:00 a.m. PDT Asia: 1:00 p.m. PDT to 4:00 p.m. PDT Europe: 6:00 p.m. PDT to 12:00 a.m. PDT Please note that these times are subject to change. Jun 13, 2012 PATCH LOOP FIX 13-June Blues (blizzard tech staff), please take note of this fix: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/5593236285 #18 If your laucher says UP TO DATE. But you launch and it says GET NEW PATCH. This link will help you. Basically rename your diabloIII.exe to anything. (example: right click, rename to diabloIIIchanged. make sure game, launcher and agent.exe are closed or you can't rename it). Then start up your D3 launcher. This will force the launcher to REPATCH yet again and this time it will work. It appears that in some instances, the D3 launcher is not detect that your patch is broken. (yes it works some times, hence all the people with the corrupt file problem ((delete, repatch 911)), but when you change the name of the diabloIII.exe file, it finally catches on that something is really wrong and it repatches. /rant: OMG a work around every patch is required since launch /end rantferalplay1 Jun 13, 2012
Jun 13, 2012 I play between NA and Asia And it says Asia is up right now. But when I go to log in I get the there is a patch going to restart. Than it does and it says diablo 3 is already running. I can kill process but it doesn't update. How do I fix this? Its annoying I can't play...I mean its understandable with WoW but this is an ARPG not some MMO.Sarcasm9 Jun 13, 2012

Jun 13, 2012 Nightly Disconnects - can't work it out. Hi guys, hope you can help me out. I keep getting disconnected from the game and am unable to log back in. This seems to happen every freaking day at around 5:00am PDT. Or, for me, at 8:00 at night. Someone suggested it might have something to do with the longest server maintenance I have ever heard of but according to the server status thread, there is no maintenance scheduled for today. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/5394512/ I'm not sure what I should do to resolve this - I can't even tell why it is happening. Did my credit card get rejected when I paid for the game and service? Please help!Zaubuzin0 Jun 13, 2012

Facing random lags when trying to just move around the game even when my character is in town. I tried something that turned out to be a temporary fix. I selected the GT 630m via the Nvidia control panel. Did a latest update of the graphic drivers. Game could work fine for about about 8 hours. Once i logged off and on, problem is back again. I tried reinstalling the GT 630m drivers but no success this time round... Anyone can help please? Thanks!loremaster0 Jun 13, 2012
Jun 13, 2012 D3 Starter: Error 3003 Anyone else getting this right now? 11:38 AM Eastern Time. Could just be the internet where I'm at, because the servers are showing online, but I was just wondering. Might be worth mentioning that I'm on a Mac. Jun 13, 2012 Installing 1.0.2c bug Alright, here's the deal. Somehow my server region got automatically changed to "The Americas", and so somehow it automatically installed the new patch when I opened the Diablo 3 launcher. Now when I try to sign in to Diablo 3 it tells me that I have to install the new patch to play, it then returns me to the Diablo 3 launcher, which crashes, then tells me that there are no new updates available. Note: I never changed the server region from "Europe". And yeah, I live in Norway if that should matter.Caladolen6 Jun 13, 2012
Jun 13, 2012 Computer crash issue I'm currently running an Alienware M11x with 8 GB DDR3 RAM and NVIDIA GT540M Graphic card. Lately this past 1 week I have been experiencing crash issues whenever I run Diablo III, most notably when I'm in a game playing. My computer will just hang up after a good 10-15 minutes of play. It has absolutely no issue until I start running Diablo III again. Does anyone has the same problem?Leon2 Jun 13, 2012

Jun 13, 2012 Unable to purchase gold I'm trying to buy gold off the AH, however when I input the value I wish to buy, nothing appears in the search box. I find it hard to believe there isn't any gold at all, as it does freeze for a bit, then no gold is available. Thanks!Koga1 Jun 13, 2012
Jun 13, 2012 PAYPAL ISSUES. I have my Paypal as a registered payment method on my battle net account, how ever it's saying when ever I try to post an auction on the RMAH "You have not set up a PayPal account to receive funds from the Real Money Auction House. Click "Okay" To set up a PayPal account now": When ever I click okay, nothing happens, and besides, I already have a paypal account set up? Anyone have any ideas on what I am missing here?Zilaman4 Jun 13, 2012
