seperate loot server? please?

General Discussion
In diablo 2 every was competing for loot and not even got there own loot. In diablo 3 youll get your own loot and so will every1 else in every game...so 8 different loot from 1 kill on a boss seems pretty ridiculous especially if people start to form guilds or clans.

there's no competition at all really, when a boss dies. I loved the fact that in diablo 2 there were items there that were EXTREMELY rare and items people never saw drop even after play for years. Now it seems that although of course there will be extremely rare items they wont be quite as rare as before. Items that you'll only see very very few people have.

I think they should open up competitive serves that are the loot style of Diablo 2, with loot that isn't shared,1 kill is only 1 set of loot. This would make items seem worth more in my opinion.

4 max players per game.
The maximum number of players in a game in D3 is 4. Also, I wouldn't hold your breath for this to ever happen.
No. Your idea is stupid.
What's the competition, then? Whoever clicks faster? That would only encourage people to be at each other's neck. The community is already ... finnicky enough as is, let's not give everyone an extra reason to be pissed at each other.
You know how annoying it is, to finally have found a Unid Unique Hydra Bow drop once in your entire life of playing the game, only to have some dude leeching in the back run up with a pickit and grab everything? If not, then please don't post about "how it's not competitive". Being down-right dumb and being fun are 2 different things, my story was not fun.

I love how you took the time to point out that without commenting at all on the rest of his post

Anyways @op blizzard doesn't want to separate the player base so this idea probably won't happen

Also blizzard doesn't want competitive game they want a very team based casual game
There probably wouldn't be enough people interested to make this a viable option, I would also not be hesitant to say that many people would also probably lose a lot of interest once they lose that upgrade due to lag or being ranged when the person who got it is melee, etc.

sometimes being blunt is the best.
I honestly (and respectfully) don't understand how people could speculate on drop rates. Your point is valid if items drop with similar rarity to D2. But since blizz wants to keep rare items rare, I think drop rate will be adjusted accordingly. Though that's as speculative as your post.

Think about it though. People would just solo bosses in D2 so there was no loot competition. Here the only difference is they are in the same game.
Or easier yet, just divide the drop odds for rares and better by the number of people in the game. Now the really great items are just as rare no matter how many people are in the game. Problem solved.
You will never get the gear you want. But you will get plenty of gear that other people want.

Then don't play on the server if you dont like it...if you think its all about a clicking contest your waaay off. its about making items worth something more....so you dont see 2309287490 of the "best" and "rarest" items on the AH. So when you find a item you've actually accomplished something not many other people have...

HOPEFULLY they just make inferno mode as hard as there saying its truly going to be...but doubtful. they need to make inferno mode, UN-soloable and hell mode semi soloable hopefully this is the case
Bad thread is bad
yup the "harder to get loot" server is going to be extremely popular.
Diablo 2 8 player games increase the chance of loot dropping. In d3 it does not. So while more loot rolls are made overall, it doesn't actually mean that more items will be generated.
Or they could leave it like it is and you could realize that Blizzard has probably already made getting elite items rare enough.

Posting this topic makes you look really greedy, considering you basically wish that you should only get awesome items by being the fastest clicker on loot drops.
