Any chance the gore could be turned up?

General Discussion
I may sound shallow or whatever for this but it seem the game (from the recent vids at blizzcon) has a bit less gore in it overall compared to D2 at least. Any chance if could be increased or we get an option to increase it? It's mostly for atmospheric purposes I ask for this!
Simple solution: Slaughter a fattened calf and wipe the blood around the borders of your monitor. It'll definitely give you a gorier feeling.

Also note that you haven't seen about 90% of the game yet.
yeaaaaaa make it more of a D1 feel!!!
more blood!!
more people hanging from spikes and walls
more mutilation!
METAL!!

2:33 in the video. Diablo 3 has plenty of gore, you simply forgot to remove your rose colored glasses with regards to Diablo 1/2. In fact I would go so far as to say the only thing from Diablo 1/2 that rivals this level of gore would be the Butchers room.
It's there.. have to realize we've only seen part of act 1 that it teaching people how to play. I'm sure once we get into act 2-3 you will get a firehose of blood you can just drown baddies in if you so want.
If they give you that from the begining it would be over the top and would scare some potential buyers away. You have to ease some peeps into all the blood so they become numb and don't notice it later on.
Even just the content you can see in the beta has plenty of gore. Barbarians can hit zombies so hard that their skeletons shoot out the back, and my monk knocks the heads off of zombies frequently.

The heads then proceed to roll around everywhere. Dismembered corpse pieces also react to physics, so you could conceivably build yourself a pile of corpses, then Hammer of the Ancients them and watch pieces go flying. I'm going to try that.
Actually when it comes to gore is there a chance the gore can be toned down? I have a baby nephew, and when he begin to come over and watch me play I want to turn it down so my little nephew doesn't see the blood. I am just trying to be a reasonable role model for him and that mean shield him from blood or gore until he is old enough to understand that the game I am play is all fantasy, though.

Any parent would agree with my approach. If you're a parent of child under 12 years old, raise your hand!

Cutting back on the gore to make it look realistic and aesthetically pleasing is much more difficult.

Blizzard is doing a pretty good job finding that fine line, in my opinion. ;-)
I agree. Would like to see a pool of blood for each fat monster killed. Not only those white vermins coming out.
Well I was watching this footage.

and it seemed toned down to the earlier stuff. Maybe I'm wrong but I was just going by the latest footage I saw.
