Ive asked this question many times with no result so i ask again,
Question - will the collectors edition of D3 which comes with D2 and D2 is what i would like to know, will it work with lion os?

Answer Y/N

thanks
No.

EDIT: this is because OSX lion removed PowerPC support, something which D2, and SC both needed to work. Rewriting the games so that this isnt needed would be a big project wouldn't be worth it. If you want to play d2 on OSX lion, you'll have to dual boot.

We say no...
but keep in mind.. blizzard is not beyond hiding videos and other goodies on their old game disks.

They very well may install something on the USB key...

The Collector’s Edition will have a 4GB USB soulstone with snazzy Diablo skull base. On it are full versions of Diablo II and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. The version included is the one that’s currently out so it won’t be compatible with OS X Lion. But, there is a workaround.

So, yes to your first question, and yes to your second question via the workaround.

Strong blue response with just a hint of spin.

full versions including keys?
Sign of release.

I think the work around to run d3 on this iPad is a remote desktop session to a windows pc. =))

Are the CE's still available for sale? Will they be available on the day of launch or are they a limited run?

Thank you

You’ll receive full licenses for the games.
I wish the pen drive came with Diablo 1 - so annoying.
Will there be any way to pre-download the game if you order a physical collectors edition? Seems like this should be something that could be worked out.
To the OP (original poster),

I know your pain, being a Mac user. However, you still have lots of options.
Go to Goodwill, and find an older Lampshade iMac, with a 15-inch screen, G4 Processor (600 MHz to 1GHz range), and buy that.

It should run you about $150.00, and you can use that as a dedicated Diablo 2 machine.
Just like I do.
